Is this normal on Kiotis?

On all of the hydrostatic transmission tractors I have owned, when I let off of the hyro pedals the tractor would stop. I hardly ever used the brakes. On slopes the tractors roll very slowly, then I would need to use the breaks.

On my CK3510SE, it stops on flat ground, but on slopes the tractor rolls almost like it is out of gear. This happens in forward or reverse. This makes it difficult to hook up attachment & to use the forks to load or unload something.

Is this normal?

I don't have a K brand, but level or slope, I never get off the seat without setting my parking brake.

Does this model have the speed adjustment knob? It has a icon of a tractor on both sides to indicate faster slower.
It is the adjustment setting knob to change the response of the HST when the pedal is released.
It will go from a short slow coast to a sudden stop depending on the adjustments made.
Could not determine this by the Kioti site, only that it has a linked pedal.
If it does have this adjustment knob, just play with it and adjust to your comfort for response.
Also, whenever I'm hooking up, brakes are set HST in neutral (part of the safety feature I have or it shuts down).
And set bucket on the ground to contribute to the 'it ain't moving factor'

No it is not. Mine will almost throw you "thru the windshield" if you are going down hill rapidly and jerk your foot off of the forward pedal. it should work just like you said in the first paragraph. Yours has a problem.

I do not see any kind of adjustment knob on the tractor or in the manual.
I also set the parking brake before getting off of the tractor.
My problem is that the tractor rolls away from the attachment in the very short time it takes to move my foot from the the hydo pedal to the brake. This is the down side of having the hydro & brake pedals on the same side.

I have a 2015 CK27. On somewhat level ground and in netural with the brake set or not the tractor does not move. When it gets on a slope it will move, which I will lower the FEL or Box Blade depending on direction of slope before I get off the tractor. I don't just rely on the foot brake ! Sounds like your hydro pedal needs adjusted ?

No, my CK3510SE does not have that adjustment.

I stopped in at the dealer & talked to the service manger this morning. I explained my issue. He called me back this afternoon. He said he called Kioti & was told that there is no adjustment for this. He said that he test drove a couple of tractors on their lot. He said that they did the same thing I explained. He offered to come look at my tractor this afternoon. Since I only have about 6 hours of time on the tractor & I am coming from a tractor that had brake pedals on the left side. I decided I needed to get more experience on this tractor. If later I still think it is a problem, I told him I would get back to him.

Take him up on his off or just go drive one of his. Show him how you operate the machine and maybe he can share his experience and tweak any driving techniques needing a bit of change based on how the CK series operate.

If I am going down hill and jerk my foot off of the fwd pedal, rapidly it would slide the rear tires as if brakes had been applied. It would stop, and then after a few seconds it would very slowly drift down hill. If you let off of the pedal slowly when going down hill, it will just slow down until you let your foot totally off of the pedal, then it will stop, and then slowly drift down hill. If that is normal for a new CK3510 then I would not like that a bit.

Grand L Kubotas have an adjustment for hydro run out and sensitivity also, but not standard L's like I had.

I believe mine operates the way you are explaining. It does stop when I let off the hyro pedal. I need more time to adjust from 20+ years of having left side brake pedals, that I used more than I realized. Several times I have found myself reaching for the left side pedals that are not there.

Also on my Kioti, the brake pedals are on the left and the twin hydro pedals are on the right. There is no clutch pedal, and the PTO is electrical/hydraulic as is the 4WD activation. Both are switches mounted on the dash.

I have a CK2610 HST. With the engine running, medium range, foot off pedal it will creep on a hill. It by means is close to free wheeling.

Out of curiosity, will it roll forward and reverse (depending on slope direction)? If it's only one direction it could be that your neutral adjustment is out.

My brake pedal is mounted above, behind the steering column cover. I looked up behind the steering column cover this morning & it appears that I might be able to put a brake pedal on the left side. There is a shaft that runs from the right side of the steering column, to the left side. I will need to remove the steering column cover to know for sure. The gold rods in the pictures on each side of the steering column connect to the left & right brakes.

My PTO is electric, with a switch on the right fender. There is a auto setting that will turn the pto off when the 3 point hitch is raised. 4wd is a lever below the seat.

That most certainly is normal. They will all creep downhill if the grade is enough to get them moving.

Just some operational background color: I rarely use the brakes on my NX except to hold grades and when in town in high gear coming to stop signs. Even then in high gear letting off can be abrupt if I have the hand throttle closed and and running with linked pedal even with my HST adjustment set dead center.
