Yeah! Maybe tell your buddies you are running your speakers of this rare welder that can double as an awesome amplifier? :D Definitely a cleaner upper and keeper!

Yah I don’t think us gen x ers would know how to select amperage without a digital touch screen.

That look's exactly like what my uncle heated his living room with when I was a kid.

I'd take it just for the faceplate. Or put a glass top on it for an end table.

And the scrap copper would pay for the nice glass top!

Yeah, like Wify would allow that in her house! I think if you tried to approach the house with that, she'd call 911 and have you (and your vintage welder) removed in hand cuffs. lol

I thought I had an old SEARS buzz box. It has a blue cabinet with a white face and is adjustable.

I have one similar, but it is a Sears/Simpson. Still welds, only thing I have ever replaced was the cooling fan. Bought it already well used in about '85. DOn't use it much anymore, have a couple of inverter type, but if I need it, it is there willing and able.

I really like that Craftsman, but then I have a soft spot for older Made in USA and Canada transformer welders.

Those welders are quite a sight.

I thought I bought some heavy 12 foot racking beams. How deep are those and what are they rated for?

Those welders are quite a sight. You just need a steel table in the middle and sub yourself out to the CIA for an interrogation facility. Just seeing those, would make someone start talking! lol

Maybe something like this, with a chair?

The pallet racking is 42” deep. I can’t recall the load rating on those. I would normally ask Rick my retired pallet rack guy when he drops by for coffee but sadly he’s dealing with chemo issues at the moment.

I just switched from 36" to 42" racking, not knowing that I had 36" and 42" works better for my driveshed. But I was reffering to the height and rating of the beams?

The tough customers might work themselves right up to the BIG motor driven welder!

You could also forgo the welders and just have a wicker chair.

The stepped load beams are a little under 6” tall and 2.75 in wide.

The manufacturer is North American Steel and I’m uncertain of the load rating for a beam with those dimensions for a 12 foot span.
