Good morning!!!!

Don, I would have loved to have had a piece of your vegetable lasagna.
I sure have the ingredients here, like you. You've learned a lot more about flavorings than I,
which you surely need to do with some bland plant material.

Kyle sorry to hear about the vote for the hospital. Ever since the FBI suggested they pay the ransom to the hackers, and they did, they have been struggling. Chances of surviving an accident have just been reduced by 50% without a nearby hospital. Maybe the new Bastrop hospital being built will make it.

Randy's nurses are kicking him to the curb! Glad you're going home buddy. I hope you continue to get better ASAP!

Jay, stop by on your way down, I'll have taters for you!

got a lot done today then misery.
Decided to get really energetic and clean up the potato field, walked behind Husqy awd trimming mower up and down sides of tater rows, knocking down weeds.
Steroids put on weight so trying to get enough exercise. Emboldened, I then mowed most of the collards patch. By then I was red in the face and all walked out, done for the day, coming in to wait on friends. Didn't quite make it. Last thing to trim around was the end pole of clothes line. Turns out big nest of ground bees...
This I did not need at all after last week. Stung twice on left ankle and once on right elbow. Figured this was the big one, came in immediately, showered, ate a benadryl tablet and for first time ever jabbed my leg with epi pen.

What a wonderful mix of chemicals...rolling waves of gastric distress, tight lungs, but slowly improving. Left foot sore and blotchy but seems ok.
going to be a lot of itching tonight.

The show had to go on, got off bed with elevated leg on ice, went out with friends and grandkids to dig potatoes, all the boy wanted to do was catch bugs, couldn't
care less about potatoes. Well it was a five bug day, he was delighted. Now good to get off my feet.

So by time I was done everything was trimmed and neat and ready for harvest. I'm a little worse for the wear but
still here. When I'm not, I'm sure your bandwidth will improve! :D

Jay, don't forget to bring your 'tater shovel.
Drew, glad the epipen worked. Hope you can get rid of the bees safely.

One of those days when you have nothing to do but it found me. Walked into kitchen to get a coffee. Got wet feet. Roof was leaking. Dripping from the beam that separate dinning room from kitchen. Went up in attic to find where leak was. Then climbed up on roof to see why there was a leak. Found bunch of shingles that had deep horizontal cracks in them. Junk shingles. Just over 20 years old. Got a can of wet and dry tar and sealed all the cracks I could. Then called roofing company. New roof going to be installed in a few days when it stops raining. 50 year shingles and installation warranty from top company in metro Detroit. $$$$$$

Sorry about your roof. The warranty on shingles IMO is about worthless. I'd figure you'd need a team of lawyers bigger than the roofing company has, to get a verdict. That's why I put metal on my roof. Anyway, with horizontal cracks, something lifted them up, like a windstorm or possibly ice? When they are cold, they have little resistance to cracking.

Good evening. Been a rainy, thunderstorm, cool June day. May have gotten to 60.

Joined the walking wounded of the Good Morning thread. Got a hickory thorn in my right ring finger knuckle Sunday while string trimming the bank. Went through my glove and wedged into the knuckle. Pulled it out, kept working. It was sore later that day into Monday, Tuesday seemed ok. Woke up yesterday morning about 3 AM with a lot of pain and a lot of swelling clear into my wrist. The knuckle was about 3 times normal size and bright red. Drove myself to the emergency room since my doctor is on vacation. Seems I have a raging infection in my finger. So 500 mg of Keflex 4 times a day for 10 days. Actually much better today.

Kyle....went to the local short track Saturday. Had a number of proç—´ there warming up for Laconia. JV20 put on a show. Won all 3 classes he was in. Action shot of him in action Saturday

That boy can ride a bike!

The young man I am helping won one of his races too. He also named me crew chief of the race team. He has decided that someone needs to be in charge and neither his dad or he seem to be able to be in charge. He likes the way I handle things, so I am now crew chief. Kinda liked the compliment. I tried harder Saturday.

Everyone have a safe and good evening

Sorry about your thorn injury, hope the antibiotics work fast. Congrats on your "promotion". Hope it's rewarding. That is an awesome picture. JV20 has great talent.

Yeah, that is what they are going to use on my boathouse. Too bad 50 year shingles weren’t around when we built our cottage back in 2002. As it is, I’m going to have to get new shingles pretty soon. Will use 50 year shingles there as well.
Maybe 50 year shingles will last 25?

Don, I have had luck with Jomax and bleach. Careful with the bleach. Being upside down is your opponent for applying anything without leaving drip nodules in the finish.

Farmer, glad to hear from you.

Catfever, hope you're feeling better. You too BEF!

Jay and LS, hope the knees are giving you good service.

Bupps, hope your healing too.

I need a haircut. Then, I need to travel south a couple of hours to work on my mom's car's A/C. I'm going to replace an actuator behind the glove compartment. Debating on taking the whole family or just making it a quick day trip....

Prayers for all.

Rick thanks for the mildew spray suggestion. Sounds like a good first attack before sanding. This may turn out to be a all Summer event. First I need to get to Mom's to retrieve my scaffold. The ceiling is 13'X13' yes Ron my neck and arms are sore already also.
Bird and I installed vinyl siding on our porch ceilings. I will see if I can find a picture. I know you like the look of wood. Almost maintenance free.

People don't realize that without spices meat would taste bland also. Preparation, spices and presentation are everything! I remember Rip's description after he ate the steak, he said he enjoyed it but called it unhealthy. It's nice to know AFTER you have enjoy some food you are not contributing to heart disease.

That does look maintenance free. If I prepare the wood right I hope to get many years out of it and next time will hire it out. You are right the wood look is nice out here but a PIB. Did I read right, Bird helped you install it? When was this?

I'm surprised the vote was so lopsided. I believe I heard it was 80% against keeping the hospital. Had no idea there was that many folks against it. Maybe all the complainers showed up to vote, just like online complaints. People are a lot more vocal about complaining rather than complimenting.
