Mark and everybnody else who wants to string Lance up,

It is okay to have diversity of thought--after all that is the risk of free speech that we'll hear something we don't agree with. Automatically turning your back on somebody because of a lack of shared opinion shuts down discussion and increasingly leads to intolerant totalitarian group think where outliers and nonconformists are persecuted in various ways beginning with shunning. Your company sponsored Lance to drive sales, and Lance as a person is entitled to an opinion. If everybody bails because we cannot agree on everything or cannot abide hearing something disagreeable, then none of us would have any customers, friends, or relatives. Bailing is not the path going forward for those in support of freedom of speech.

Who is trying to string him up? Really? What did I say that made you come to that conclusion? Really? Did you even read what I posted? Sheesh.....

I affirmed his right to freedom of speech, but I also affirmed our right of freedom of association, particularly since the owner of Everlast is a Jewish Immigrant, which part of his rant was naively directed to this group of people. .He has his right, but sometimes political and religious beliefs, and even our personal personal prejudices which we all hold (yes even atheists hold beliefs) will make it impossible to be closely affiliated with someone. Doesn't mean you hate them or think they are scum or wish them ill.. At times, you may not be allies, but you can be co-belligerants on certain subjects of common importance.

I acknowledged that some of his comments were bassed on what he perceived to be "facts". I did not agree with his conclusion and felt the facts were out of context, and disagreed with him about it firmly. I also feel it comes from youthful brashness and some other things that he has come across in his life interpreting them without a proper foundation or perspective. And that is wanting to string him up? Wow. Just, Wow.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Mark you did an excellent job of voicing your thoughts.
There were a few things that he voiced that are true and accurate. However the vitreal and hatred and the misconstruing of other facts show just what a warping of thoughts can occur.
5% right and 95% off the rails does not make a good combination.
Just be thankful that we live in a country where you can voice your opinion without the government beating you back (at least we have and hopefully will continue to have those rights). On private property and private networks the guarantee of freedom of speech does not exist.

Anytime somebody implies, threatens or actually follows through cutting discussion or contact because they heard something dangerous, then I am free to apply the colloquialism of "String him up," which contextually meant shunning. Shunning was clearly my meaning and intent in the context of everything else I stated.

The "Wow, just wow," I assume is for dramatic effect.

FWIW, many of my childhood friends went to the Torah Academy to learn Jewish culture and Hebrew. Also, by Jews, I believe (but do not know) that ChuckE9000 means banksters, apparently unaware that Merrill Lynch was a bunch of good Catholic boys, that Bank of America is a bunch of southern boys--but saying as much would pigeonhole me with the genetic fallacy of ChuckE9000's overly simplistic stereotypes.

Don't continue jostling guys, it does not become you given your many valuable contributions to this forum. When I watched the video and it started taking a direction I wasn't interested in, I simply stop watching it and forgot about it. Do the same, forget about it before someone says something regretful. The intending meaning of something said versus how it is understood is the context and the context is often lost or wrongfully assumed in forum postings. Once said, it can't be taken back.

In my opinion Chuckie has reached his breaking point with what is going on in this country. I doubt there is a person here who doesn't agree with some of his points.
Illegals voting, Illegals getting drivers licenses, illegals getting more in money and benefits that veterans.
Obama bringing in thousands od Somalians then they get together and elect a woman who married her brother to cheat the immigration laws.
Another leader that poses as an Indian to get benefits others denied.
Rich Hollywood parents scamming the system for their kids.
And the big one, what these people did to Trump by spying on him and getting away with it.

The bigger question if this stuff doesn't bother you - then why not?

I may not agree 100% with Chuckie but I give him credit for ringing the bell and standing by his morals.

If his leanings were in a different direction,he might very well be a media darling by now and leading thousands in protest while getting prime time coverage.

You're painting with a rather large brush there....

It's one thing to report or observe important, uncomfortable or objectionable but verifiable facts. That should be fine at any level. What gets people in trouble is when they start stating or forcing an opinion, even though it is protected speech on a public level. And what really should done privately, but can't really be judged publicly is the motivation for doing so in the first place. Each must decide on his own, but a company or entity has a right to assert their own rights or core values as well if a conclusion conflicts with their interests.
