Eldest daughter is in med school but has done vet science, I was talking to someone about how it could be difficult to deal with some peoples conditions because of individual foibles, quick interjection from daughter, vet science is more difficult that psych as we had to deal with animal foibles and furballs.

A Veterinarian has a secondary/supportive degree in coprology.

If you can't deal with bodily functions, secretions, fluids, et cetera, you best take up interior design instead.

Although I cannot prescribe medication I still have to have a working knowledge of drugs and their uses as well as working with DNAfor those I deal with.

My sister in law thought she wanted to be a psychiatrist so her dad put her through school and she did well, grade wise, then she entered the real world and found that she had to work with real live crazy people and gave it up real quick. She went back to school and became a pathologist which fit her better.I think all she got from her psych. education was exposure to drugs cause she is nuttier than a fruit cake now.
