Tractor Supply bans charities raffling firearms

RK just opened a store here. It’s probably going to put the local tractor supply out of business. There won’t be any tears from me.

After R_K opened here, TS opened about 4 more stores, all doing well.

They might not go under but it’ll put a hurting on them. And they definitely won’t open 4 more stores. What did RK do to make you mad anyway?

they will lose me as a customer as well. TSC tends to open here in rural areas. People that are passionate about guns here. They will lose some business here
I have heard where ever an RK opens. TSC begins to see the effects.

Will this decision put TSC under ? I doubt it. But when I was in business. I trued to gain customers, not lose customers.
As one local tire store around here use to advertise ''we don't want all the business, just yours''

I do not shop TSC much. Staff occasionally helps but mostly not around, cash register takes forever. One thing that bugs me is I have to give my birth date when I buy spray paint. It is a state law but other places don’t ask, I am old enough to be the grandfather of most cashiers. Besides that, nobody will tell me what I can or cannot do with spray paint, it is not their job.

I don't think it's a state law here. They told me it was TSC policy. After they asked me that question, I left all the items on the counter and walked out. Haven't been back

The only places that I will give personal information to is the doctor and pharmacy. TSC asking for a DOB to buy one of their products is ludicrous and I would leave it on the counter as well.. Intrusion of privacy for marketing purposes it's not something I will voluntarily be a part of..

When they scan an item at the cash out, that is enough information in itself..

Yeah. The paint I was going to purchase was Kubota orange.
I asked why they needed that info. she said it was because young people were sniffing spray paint to get high. I asked ,, do I look like I'm young ?
I then said, You know, I could sell it to a young person if I wanted, so how is this ''store policy'' going to prevent some young person from sniffing paint She then said, ''it company policy''
