I bought two of those Coleman’s. They are a hoot to ride. I modified one with a Torque converter. I ground off the throttle limit screw on both. Very good value for the price! If you will be riding daily I would get the motorcycle spray film lube. If ur only riding on the weekend I would use chainsaw bar oil (this is what I use ).

I got mine mainly for fixing fences through the woods and checking on cattle. It seems too fast for the woods and I'm thinking of switching from the fifty to a sixty tooth sprocket to slow it down. Do you think that would work?

I just removed the chain and didn't see any O rings.

I think a 50 to a 60 tooth is a giant difference..probably to much... when I was racing bikes, a 2 tooth larger sprocket was a big difference.

From someone who has been riding dirt bikes for the past 50+ years...

If the chain on the bike has no orings, then get some chain lube specifically designed for motorcycle chains. As mentioned above, the fluid part will evaporate leaving a waxy film behind that does the lubricating but does not attract dirt as bad. Any of that other stuff - it will attract dirt and then turn into a grinding compound between the chain and sprockets.

If the chain on the bike has o rings, don't do anything. Just ride the bike. The o ring chain has lubricant sealed inside by those o rings. That's what all current dirt bikes come with these days. My current Yamaha's o ring chain has 7,000 miles on it now and never been lubed and has barely needed any adjustment.

Thank you. I'll see what's available.

If u are wanting more control at lower speeds then consider a torque converter. U will also get smoother operation going up and down hills with a torque converter.

I have used Belray Super Clean chain lube on my motocross bikes for years. Good stuff that dries on the chain so it doesn’t attract dirt.

Several years ago, I stopped by our local motorcycle shop and picked a large spray can of chain oil.
After riding motorcycles for 50 years I can say that this is THE BEST stuff money can buy.
It sprays on like WD-40 so it soaks in well.
But when it dries it leaves behind a fat film of synthetic grease that lasts and holds well.
Now, I use it for everything.
Hay baler, machine chain couplers, door hinges...
I buy 3 of the large cans at a time:

PJ1 blue label is some really good chain lube. Sticks well to the chain and doesn't fling off. And I believe it resists collecting dust.
