Good Morning Everyone!!!

I woke up this morning to a NWS MA/Boston-Norton Office issued Winter Storm Warning and increased projected snowfall amounts (17") It was a crisp, clear and sunny 20ºF for today's low temperature; a clear and sunny 24ºF presently; and I anticipate a clear and sunny afternoon with temperature ~30ºF. A great morning for the dump run and get ready for tomorrow's predicted snow. Interestingly my area has been consistently in the MA snow 都weet spot all week with the various models runs.

"... Bill, I have fond memories of putting on snowmobile suit and plowing snow then coming in to fire to warm up"- Bruce. Your fond memories will be my reality tomorrow.

Roy- Good luck traveling down to CT. It could be a mixed precipitation to rain event as you get closer to the coast.

Phil- Good luck with your snow management. I too am in storm prep mode. I need to preposition the vehicles and move the tractor to a more advantageous position in the driveway.

Ramman666- Welcome to TBN. Good luck with your NE weather with this pending storm.

I hope that everyone has a decent Saturday as planned without any surprises.

My + thoughts and prayers

39° going to 42°. Calling for snow overnight before it changes back to rain. Son flies out around 3 pm tomorrow.

Welcome ramman to TBN and good morning. We are all certified sane by our in-house shrink Jay. Trust me.

According to my son Subaru got Apple car play in 2019 models, and not my 2018. I have starlink that didn’t seem to do much. My sons elantra has car play, so he can put google maps from his phone on the car display.

I only bought 1 garman well over 10 yrs ago. Never updated it, never saw the need. I guess if you have a lot of new streets it might be useful. I use google maps on my phone or Waze for long trips. Not to know where I’m going, but to look for backups and speed traps.

NC grows lots of Christmas trees in the Asheville area. That’s where a lot of sellers get their trees.
Lot of the tree farms near me have closed. Used to be a dozen in the county, now 2 or 3.

We brought leftovers home. We took a ham, got half of it left. My family always makes oyster dressing. Don’t know how it started, goes back to my grandmother at least. Only way I like oysters, it is so good and moist. Dressing, turkey, mashed Potatoes all covered in gravy is all I need. And some homemade apple sauce.

I took dad a gallon of fresh cider, cause he likes it. It went over well with the great grandkids as well. We had 24 people out of 36 there.

My oldest brother couldn’t come, his wife has MS real bad.

good morning all. Lot of rain headed in tonight and tomorrow, what is going to dump snow on folks North of here.
went to bed too early, up too early, hope this will get back to normal in a few days. I get "off my feed" when I travel.
I might go out and get a christmas tree this morning, if it's going to rain all weekend, fun thing to do inside.
Trees in front of supermarket are 35 bucks, Boy Scout lot where I'd prefer getting them is $65. Too much for me for something I burn up in a month.
So off to Lowes or supermarket today to see what they have.

Washing machine running, about to cook some "natural" sausage for breakfast, though anything that comes in a box is suspect.

I can only imagine what David would pay for a fresh cut xmas tree in Hawaii.

LOL, David doesn’t. Too expensive. We keep ours in a box in the closet. But they are a news item here. Already seen some on car-tops. We do have a live one. It was a potted tree 1st year we were here. Planted it next to driveway, probably about 40 tall now.

I think Food Lion uses these trees as a loss leader to get folks there, but yes, the trees are from NC, likely around Asheville, about 4-5 hours West. So I'm sure someone drove a big truck of them across the State and dropped off at their supermarket locations.

Drew, Knights of Columbus sell Christmas trees in DQ parking lot. They start at $80. They do sell all that they have long before Christmas.

Ron, my very first job off the farm was at age 12 cutting Christmas trees for customers at a local farm where I did that for at least four years.
Lot of crawling under trees, needles and snow down your neck, sap on your hands, but I remember getting tipped a dollar, when a quarter or 50 cents was more usual, and
thought I was raking it in. Owners of farm were good friends of my parents and that very first job was a good one.
These trees aren't very fat, which is good, as mine is going in the main hallway when entering the house.
First I need to find the base and then trim the bottom branches off. I have lots of power saws for that but still like using the original hand bow saw,
just like I did when I was 12. I might not put lights on it, just go natural with ornaments, and whether I find a string or two that work will help
guide that decision.

BEF- “Eternity is a ham and two people”- Dorothy Parker. (BTDT) 24 out of 36 family members getting together to celebrate anything is pretty awesome  The food reads to be great eats. I am so sorry to read about your SIL. My + thoughts and prayers for her, your Brother, and the rest of family. I helped manage an MS unit. I never felt so powerless. I hope and pray every day that research finds a way to treat and/or even better cure all neurodegenerative diseases in my lifetime. Ice cold apple cider is one of my favorite nonalcoholic beverages;)

The only sanity I question around here is my own.

I recently found my Tractor Forum Posting on my computer, they have been hiding under the Google Button, WHY... I still am trying to figure that out, "Why won't Google transfer my forum mail"..., not sure why to how !

"... So the squeaky wheel does get oiled, sometime !"- Grev

I am happy that your perseverence resulted in a surprising (to me) + (large) corporate response.

I like olive tapenade. We buy Trader Joe's brand. It's pretty decent.

Try this Fotis and Son Mediterranean Tapenade, it is really good, one of the best I have tasted, even home made.
I you happen to want to, I can get the numbers.

Scrambler, you are one persistent guy!

ADD/OCD/PTSD/etc., etc., I really thing the word is PITA... and you have to pull the BIG strings !

might I humbly add that all of the big three have huge grills, Ford and Chevy are in a race as to who can come up with the largest grill, while
Denalis have always had the most attractive grills out there because they were actually minimalist. Enormous but not overdone. I'm a car guy so I follow this
and think David's truck, if he has a car wash next door, will look really good for a long time. Even the new electric trucks are miming the big front ends when they don't even need to. If you play in the big leagues you have to have a big hood and grill. Seems there is a huge I wanna be a Kenworth vibe going on.

I remember in the late 70's, Ford had a really nice looking Grille, I do like the '79 Ford Truck Grille.
The newer F150s have a good grille but there are different models, if you want to buy on the high end you get it, over wise they are lacking.
The new Test Truck, there first picture of the Electric Truck looked a lot like the Dodge Ram, and I said that could be parking in my driveway, but then the second pictures came out and WHAM-BAM, this new image looks like a "One Step Beyond"... not foe me !

Its like the new Ford Ranger, to looks like a Ford Edge, the crossover, with its back end cut out... why, why, why !

My family always makes oyster dressing. Don’t know how it started, goes back to my grandmother at least. Only way I like oysters, it is so good and moist.

This is the first time I've heard of oyster dressing in a lot of years. My parents used to spend the winters on the Texas coast, so they always had lots of all kinds of food from the ocean, including oysters. And Mother used to make the oyster dressing "good and moist" as you said. They liked it, I liked it, but my wife and daughters just don't want anything to do with oysters.
