Has anyone installed one with the ability to remove quickly and/or easily ??
The cab makes mine a little top heavy.

Yes, we have one on a bx2660 and removing the doors and windshield are fairly quick, but the frame and the roofs stay on year-round.

I have a CabotDepot hard side cab and yes I feel it is top heavy. We take off the door and the opposite side plastic door/side for summer use. We are aware of the tippiness of the BX2230 and deal with it. Enjoy your cab. Jon

I had a 2200 with a Curtis cab that I could remove for the summer. What I found, however, was that the tippiness I thought was happening was perceived not real. The cab makes the tilt seem more severe than it really was. The uprights , corner frames, made me think it the unit was top heavy and it really wasn’t. Just my take.

My Sims Cab Depot hard sided cab also felt top heavy, but now it's much improved by having all my tires filled with "beet juice" (Rim Guard) and added a plastic insert (filled with concrete) that fills up the rear tire rim area.

Also my scut is not very wide and I have considered adding some wheel spacers.

I installed a Curtis on my BX 2370 over the summer and immediately noticed that it felt more topheavy. When I put the doors on for the winter, it appeared to get worse. However, (1) I seem to have gotten used to it, and (2) it sure is nice blowing snow in the heated cab. I'll take the tradeoff any day (good thing, for what I paid for the cab).

I agree.... keeping out of the weather and warm is great. Mine is in the attached garage with a block heater on a remote. But in the summer for other work it would be nice to remove.....

If you happen to shatter the windshield on your Curtis cab ... like I did, there are alternatives to the $600 replacement from Curtis ... I found a place in CA that made one to my drawings for $170 to my door. Same tempered glass ... pretty sure I saved the CAD drawing if anyone ever needs it.

I went under some low hanging branches and one snapped off the front roof edge and dropped the windshield in my lap in a thousand pieces :)

Can you share the company. Thinking of building my own cab and having glass built to my spec would be awesome.

Could you post some pics on how you routed the heater hoses on the driver's side of the tractor? I'm in the middle of installing a heater in the Curtis Cab on my BX25D-1 and it should be similar. I'm good on the passenger side. Thanks!

Huge Thank You! To George The Beagle for sending me pics of his Curtis Cab installation on his BX which really helped me install my heater on my BX. It's all done and works! Just need some snow now.

1 Check fluid in the actual radiator, not just the overflow.
2 Disconnect one of the hoses going to the heater to see if fluid is flowing. You could have an air pocket.

I had a very small leak in a hose, lost fluid ( alot). Being winter the temp gauge showed normal, but I had very little heat. After I replaced the hose I had to run it with the radiator open and would squeeze different hoses to get the air out. It took a while.
