WEATHER. What's it doing where you are?

Snow and wind on the East side of Vancouver Island. Minus 6 Celsius, with wind chill down to about minus 12 Celsius. Expecting up to 25 centimetres of snow over the next two days (about 10 inches).

We keep getting warm weather and no real snow in Central Eastern PA. Was out Sunday in a t-shirt.
Good weather for cutting up the tree that was falling over. Though expected to be out with the family, not the chain saw...

I'm about 100km SE of Hillbilly and getting the same snows he mentions in post #37 of this thread, but about 25% less snow. It's been snowing most days for the past few weeks. Around Christmas and until a day ago they were heavy, wet snows. Yesterday it was -29C so the 10" of snow was much nicer. It cleared off in the morning so it was very nice for snow blowing.

This is definitely the most snow we have had since moving here 16 years ago, and my neighbour who has lived her for 70 years says it is the most she can remember.

Near the house it is getting so the blower just manages to get the snow over the bank to the lawn.

Each day I take my dog and my neighbour's dog on hikes up on the crown land beyond my neighbour's. They usually surge on ahead but now have no choice but to follow in my snowshoe tracks. Here is a very short video from Jan 08 of them catching up to me:

My dog is carrying part of a deer leg he found. On this trip we followed a moose or elk track for about 1/4 mile. It must have been tough because it was sinking to its belly the whole way.

The forecast calls for more snow over the next few days.

For now it has stopped snowing with 7" on the ground. Ten day forecast says no storms and just light snow showers. I busted out the driveway with the Taco Wagon. I just know if I plow the driveway we will see another storm. For now I'm going to leave well enough alone.

So you reside in Seattle? They are talking about snow here tomorrow and Thursday . . . :confused3: @ 35 miles from Portland.

Today would have been a perfect day to be out on the ice... 19’, sunny, without a breath of wind. Tomorrow is supposed to be more of the same, if I was smart I would take the day off.
