If any members happen to get themselves the "new and improved" ranger. Please do post your thoughts on it. :p

Sorry to see your door got hit ArlyA. Never fails....always seems to happen to the new vehicles. My old ones never seem to gte scratched or dented, but the new ones are like magnets.

Just a couple of my worthless comments to touch on the last couple replies. That is the problem here where I am in Canada, the pricing. Sure the Ranger has it's place in the market. Some people WANT a smaller truck. But most will go buy an F150 or 250 when they can be had for the same price (though optioned differently.) But the Ranger is a very nice truck.

As for the old ones....I remember when they got discontinued. My two dealers brought a whole lot of them in and they sold immediately. I remember how my service manager said at the time everyone was grabbing them before they were gone because that 4.0 litre V6 was one of the best motors out there. And I believe him because I have an 4.0 Explorer with half a million miles on it and it has had not one engine or trans issue. Nothing but brakes, battery, wiper blades and tires. And front wheel bearings.

The 4.0 V6 was trouble free, but the 1988 4WD I had didn't have enough power to get out of it's own way. :)

Still loving our 2019 ranger. Might be the nicest vehicle we have ever purchased. Haven't got the banged up door fixed yet but looks to be happening soon. That doesn't really bother me... I think we've got over 7000 miles on it.

Yes I'm still loving my 2019 Ranger also. The power still surprises me, I have to be light on the pedal.

The other day I was stuck between 18 wheelers and could not dodge debris in the road and thought I had ran over something that would make my tire leak. I pushed a few buttons and watch the individual pressure in each tire for a while and no pressure was lost. In my old ford I'd have to stop and check the tires a few times to see if they were going flat.

I got the recall notice in mail about the real taillight plug but haven't received the follow-up letter from the dealer notifying the part was in stock ready to be installed.

I wanted a black interior and the dealer agreed to put in black leather but the stone is growing on me and the dealer agreed to just supply me with a set of seat covers when they come in, hopefully before the hot weather. My dog will like that. The running boards that came with it have an extra duty, they keep my wife's car doors from bumping my Ranger. 59158164995__8DD15893-0EF7-40CF-AE00-DC9FB1F31D2F.JPG

I was called and rushed out the door to get to work and started my truck. The dash said in large fonts you have A ZERO PRESSURE TIRE.. I couldn't believe it! So walked around it and found a flat one on the side I didn't go past to get in. Found a screw in it so I aired up the tire and watched its pressure and made it to the tire shop. Gee, that was nice to watch that pressure as I made my way there. I of course know many modern vehicles have tire monitoring systems.

Do not wash your new Ranger with the fob in your pocket. Every time water pressure hits the door handles the doors lock or unlock and the running lights come on.

Hoping the new Ranger are a big improvement. Among the 4 pickups we've owned, we put the 1994 Ranger dead last.

Ralph, they are. My dad had an old Ranger the new Ranger is not even in the same class. It should have been named F100 turbo. I thought most people would compare it to the old Ranger by name alone and it would hinder sales, we will see.

Has anyone looked into a bed extender of the Ranger. I had one on my Ford Sport-trac and it worked great.
It would extend my 5' bed to a 7' bed.

I few years ago we sold our 1987 f-150 with the 302 engine. Our Ranger seems to have twice the HP it had, yet it gets twice the fuel mileage it got. How could that be!! Was not any fun to drive and got less than 1000 miles put on it per summer. Seems the old rangers weren't the best either.

Hoping the new Ranger are a big improvement. Among the 4 pickups we've owned, we put the 1994 Ranger dead last.
