Spreading Stone, who else shakes it on?

Is there any consideration that this shaking method would be hard on the hydraulics? Would this not be very hard on the seals? I'm thinking of compression shock waves in the cylinders. :)

You know that pic was for you, right?

Absolutely!!!! And I greatly appreciated it!!!! Makes me wonder if her back hurts holding that all day??

Yup, if the video is well produced, fun to watch and informative, hey more power to ya if you make a buck off it, whatever.

As for the next post below yours, Everything Attachments is on here all the time CLEARLY working it for customers, I don't see anybody here raising an issue about it, so...

And Messicks. Although I don't recall any of their videos running ads for various other companies during their videos? But, maybe I missed it??

I’m sure it does.

PLUS there’s the weight of the joy stick operated remote pack!

If I knew someone was taking a video I might shake it out but normally I use a bucket and blade to get it done.

The context of that post can be taken so many ways!!! :)

If you have more than a bucket or two to spread, nothing beats tailgating it from a dump trailer. It applies a nice thin, even layer. It is narrower than having it tailgated from a large truck so it keeps the stone more centered and maintains the crown.

When tailgating, it helps having a person watch the unloading process. Depending on how fast it is coming out, the person can signal to the driver to adjust the travel speed to get the perfect amount laid down.

Back when I wore a younger man's clothes I owned a Dump Truck. Tailgate spreading is mostly controlled by the chain setting. In driveway situations you might only allow the gate open 2" or less. Just enough so the material doesn't bridge. Nice, slow, steady travel speed. Repeat if it needs to be thicker. It's a learned talent. :)

I suspect he makes some money but it痴 view/subscriber based. He can稚 control the adds. YouTube does that.

FYI, YouTubers do have some control over adds even when their channel is monetized. They can choose not to monetize a particular video. Also they can choose whether adds are placed at the beginning, in the middle (if the video is long enough), at the end, or combinations of these. So a YouTuber can publish a non-monetized video if they wants to.

I thought that was how it worked, but wasn't sure. Thanks for the clarity!!!

If you see ads mixed into a video, it means it's a higher volume channel and that's how these folks make their money from Youtube.

I for one wish people wouldn't use TBN to promote Youtube Channels that generate revenue for them. I feel like that crosses a line. At the very least they should have to register on TBN with an advertiser account and make it more transparent.

I shared a video on how I spread stone with a tractor on a tractor forum? How on earth is that crossing a line? I shared a technique that I use that works very well for me. Had I said "Hey check out my YouTube channel, please subscribe, share these videos with you friends!" Then that would be "promoting my channel" Make sense?

Do you profit from said video?

You lost me with all the Ads. I hate videos that are presented as a "favor" to us and then are crammed with Ads. What's up with that??? Maybe I'm missing something??? Are you profiting from this video???

Lol that is funny, yes I am profiting from this video. Whats wrong with putting in the work and earning money doing something you enjoy?

I don’t watch his videos, they’re too long winded for my liking but what’s wrong with making a couple bucks from it? He’s not trying to peddle crap. All he’s doing is making a video and you can choose to watch it or not.

This is my opinion only, not reflective of TBN's policy.

There are two very good sponsors of this website, Messick's and Everything Attachments that put videos on this site all the time. They are profiting from them by selling product. I don't recall any Ads on their videos. Certainly not scattered thru the middle of the videos. I get their intent and honor it. They repeatedly offer great advice for tractor operators. Way beyond any profit they might have. Their intent is clear.

You, on the other hand, are here strictly to profit. You could care less about any of the members here. You only want "hits" on your videos. The members here get that.

Since you recently joined with limited posts (8), maybe you'll figure it out and become a major contributor to this site. I hope you do.

Lastly, don't tie your making money to my enjoyment. You don't know me that well.
