Fatal Log Skidder Accident - Oregon

I was wondering what the OSHA fines would be on this.

Killed by an old piece of JUNK! I was also on a steep hill years ago with a 24,000# ZOOM BOOM. It stalled and I had one operation of the brake pedal and nothing after that. The PARKING brake did not work. Not much steering without the engine running either. Fortunately, I had a place to drive, although I ran over some equipment before it stopped. I repaired the Parking Brake after that!

It looks like nepotism stealing from the Country by son and dad. My assumption, Dad knew how much the country was spending on rental skidders so he told his son to go buy a piece of junk and rent it to the country. What I would like to know is the "approved price" of the skidder. Was it the same price for a piece of junk as it was for a newer model from a rental outfit. Looks like KARMA to me.

Karma implies the person doing the immoral stuff getting screwed. In this case it was the innocent county employee who paid with their life, not the one committing the fraud.
