Looks good! I just got a 2019 tradesman can't wait to get it loaded down like that and see how it does. The air level will be neat for gooseneck towing. What rear end is in your truck ?

It has the 5 link coil,and 4:10

Nice. Should make hills easy. I'm excited to experience it myself. I went an hour to get one with that rear end.

Your towing cap. Is like 17,000lbs mine is only around 10,000 on PW, I wonted the off-road capability over towing but it’s pulled everything needed it too, yours will be a lot better in that department.

They changed the laws here on home built trailers years ago. It is still doable but it seems to be a headache getting the paperwork all complete, so we haven’t built any for a few years.

Yeah. I only go through the occasional pasture or dirt path. Don't really have any need for off road capability. Your truck looks awesome with that package. I love it but just wanted extra capacity

I’m not apposed to that law. Out of 10 homemade trailers maybe 2 are good ones.

I would have to say the numbers you give are reversed around here. At least when it comes to a trailer for any real wieght. When talking about some of the light wieght contraptions I’ve seen I might agree but some just looked ugly and were overbuilt. Then take a look at some of the so called light wieght trailers for sale today? I see them brand new so flimsy that I would opt for that ruff looking light wieght trailer built in the backyard any day of the week.

Because of what's going on the dealers have some nice sales on. Since my job is essential I am still working. I have wanted a dump trailer. It's just for personal use so a 7K 5x10 is plenty. I got one of my top picks was $1000 off right now. So I did my part to help the economy. I didn't get one with the ramp kit as I had a tilt deck. Plus my 2025R would be a bit big for it. I did get the tarp option and a spare tire as the bolt pattern is 5 on 5. All my other 7K trailers are 5 on 4 1/2.7504.jpg

I chose the tilt deck for its low deck and fold down fender. My Vettes fit without dragging and the doors will open.IMG_20190428_130215877.jpgIMG_20190428_130149827.jpg

Thanks. That's the nice thing about having everything paid off. There is extra money to buy toys. But I do use all of them quite a bit except the deck over flat bed.i built that one back in the 80s.i do use it a few times a year though.
