Also managed to pick up 3 of these cabinets for storage on my way back from picking up the bandsaw. They are 72x36x24, I already had a 18in deep version so should have plenty of storage now.View attachment 642150
Excellent! I did the same in buying several similar sized metal cabinets from an auction. That allowed me to tear out and donate the old wooden kitchen cabinets and increase my storage in less space!

Pickup up another peice of equipment for the shop Tuesday, needs a little TLC but seems to run pretty good. Now I need to clean up my old 16in Walker Turner and put it up for sale.View attachment 642149

Nice scoop on the bandsaw! I passed on a Startrite a few years back that REALLY needed TLC. Yours looks like new!

Its pretty clean, unfortunately it came out of a school and appears to be used with worn out blade guides. I need to fix the table where the blade cut into it.

I know it needs some cleaning and adjusting, new blade guides (which I may just make) and new VS belts which I have on order.
I love the little air puffer pump!

I looked up how much these cabinets cost new, WOW, gotta love gov. surplus auctions.
Other then the slight bit of damage I did strapping them down they are in really nice shape.

Is that puffer pump just for keeping sight lines clear and drive wheels swarf free or for blade cooling also?

It's for keeping sightlines clear but mine is also equipped with the mist cooling so it provides the air for that too.

What size CO2 bottle are you using for your welding gas mixer and what are you using for a regulator ?

Not sure yet, still trying to use up my 75/25 mix in my 300cuft tank, I have a 125cuft tank of argon that I was going to see if my LWS would swap out for a CO2 tank of similar size once I use it up.
I haven't been doing much welding the last couple years with all the building construction and house renovation so the tanks are lasting longer the normal.

For regulators I have a pair of Victor's that were used for nitrogen, just need the adaptor for the CO2 tank when the time comes.

I did pick up an older Kalamazoo bandsaw today that I bought at auction last week, once I know it'll cut I'm going to put my old Jet bandsawsaw up for sale. I just hope people are still buying stuff with everything going on.20200324_174923.jpeg

Also picked up this OTC rotator engine stand for pretty cheap. Just need to clean it up and make some adaptors, came from trade school from the diesel engine area.

This was the small one, only rated for 2000lbs, the big ones weighed about 800lbs and were rated for 6000lbs! 20200324_182315.jpeg
