Update: Well I was ready to pull the plug and buy a Ryan's Grapple. When I called to place the order on the quote they gave me, it became apparent that the mounting plate was not for a PT and they would get back to me on the cost. After 4 calls a week or two apart from each other, the last one saying they need to talk to the owner and would get back to me. That was about a month ago. Could it be the Power Trac community is not worth the effort or maybe they switch over to making respirators, toilet paper and hand sanitizer?

That is a pretty harsh comment about people that give information freely, the community that is. Perhaps you could rephrase? Now, if you are having a problem with a vendor, maybe you should direct your ire at them instead. I don't have a power Trac, but if I buy one, it will be because of this community.

I believe he meant that there was not enough of a market for the vendors and that perhaps they are now making masks etc (that part not meant seriously).

Hahaha! That's what I thought too, until I re-read it. I'm pretty sure he meant that grapple company might be thinking the PowerTrac market might not be worth the effort to make products for. :)

It wasn't a knock at the PowerTrac community here on TBN, as m5040 is a fine contributing member to this forum.

Wow, I didn't think my message was so controversial. The part about the "Power Trac community is not worth the effort" was meant to be a true question that any business owner has to make. Can the investment in tooling and research and development be recouped in sales and profits? If Ryan's Equipment were to go through the trouble to make a PT option, how many potential customers are out there? Ryan's makes forestry equipment, does Power Trac intrude enough on that market to make it worthwhile? I just feel that any business should return customer's phone calls and I guess I was venting here which may be inappropriate. But that is just me and you can tell my age by my opinion along with my skills in driving a standard shift vehicle, operating a rotary phone and adjusting rabbit ear tv antennas.
The part about "or maybe they switched over to making respirators, toilet paper and hand sanitizer?" is due to my experience with a former neighbor, a retired machinist built a 40x40 barn in his back yard with a complete machine shop inside. In his retirement, he still somehow contracted with NASA and machined parts for the locking mechanism on the spacesuit helmets. With this in mind, I could picture many companies, although not capable of making the complete final product, diverting their efforts to contribute by making individual parts, all to combating the damage caused by the Wuhan Virus.:confused3:

Please forgive my jumping to improper conclusions. I guess I should be more awake when I read something. In retrospect, I can be an idiot sometimes. You guys are all correct, I misinterpreted m5040's post. Again, I apologise. Carry on.

So - like many of us, m5040 - a great prospect can end in frustration. Since this same thing has happened to me several times - I can easily understand and that's how I read your comment. You meant no disrespect to any faction of the TBN community.

Anyhow - keep us abreast of any new developments in this area. God bless & good health.

You might ask them the cost breakdown if you supply them with the PT adaptor plate and they weld it on.

Wicked Rake will weld on an adaptor plate supplied by the customer.

I'm just verifying you are taking about everything attachments when you say wicked rake. Only asking cause I might need to have a plate welded to ssqa so I can use ssqa attachments. Just saw the PT forklift attachment price for my PT1460 and it is way out of sight on price compared to all ssqa attachments.
