Sad affair when repeat offenders show no regard for others that want to keep it on topic. Peeves me off. There is a place for them to go. Why force us to have to frequent a forum where the rules are more lax and have to put up with their crap. :confused3:

Check your official state Covid website. It will tell you everything you need to know. TBN has too many wannabe experts.

Back on topic...almost...I was going to start a new thread in the 'cookin' forum...maybe someone else will?

How has the situation changed what you're eating etc.?...For many having to go to the grocery store is the only real exposure they may experience so I'm sure most are limiting their trips to the store...and they are having to make some compromises in their selections due to demand and what's available...
How long can you exist without going hungry before you have to go to the grocery ?

No trip to the grocery store? Are you crazy??? Cooking these days has come down to the art of opening a can. Homemade corn bread is adding a cup of milk to something that resembles, but not duplicates, cornbread mix. Fresh fruits and vegetables are those that rot on the kitchen table in only two days.

No, going to the grocery store is definitely a 2 or 3 times per week requirement.

Sorry about your lack of kitchen skills. Some of us can cook from scratch just fine.
Maybe your produce would last longer if you put it in the refrigerator.

A large percentage of folks eat too much for their daily output anyways. Learning to eat differently may be a good thing.

Some passing thoughts...:

Nail salons, hair salons, waxing center and tanning places are closed. It痴 about to get ugly out there....and we're about to find out everyone's true hair color...!

Yeah I have plans tonight. I値l probably hit the living room around 8 or 9.

What types of jokes are allowed during quarantine? Inside jokes!

What痴 the best way to avoid touching your face? A glass of wine in each hand.

LOL, and we'll see a lot of 'blonds' that faded to brunette.

We have not been to any store, grocery or otherwise since January or so. We eat real food cooked from scratch. Powdered milk and eggs work in most recipes and frozen fruit is just fine for smoothies. Frozen and canned salmon help to stretch our meat supply. These people that need to run to the store every day are nuts.

How far are you from a grocery store?

I ask, because I just did a google search of "grocery stores near me" and limited the search to 5 miles.....

I got tired of counting at 75. :confused2:

Granted, not all of them are large. They considered Dollar General a grocery store. But there's a ton of places to get groceries here. So, it makes it too convenient to think about stocking your house, when you can just stop in somewhere close to home anytime you're running low.

I've had this conversation with my wife many times. I like to keep stocked up. When I take something out of the pantry, I write it on the list for the next time we go to the store, regardless of how many are left in the pantry. She, on the other hand, will wait until the last bar of soap is the size of a nickel before she buys more.

With this current situation, she's coming around to my way of thinking. It's much easier to go to the store just twice a month VS twice a week.

Likewise there are many outlets near here. Probably not a many as you have there, but still enough. Actually Dollar general stores around here have quite a bit of grocery things, as well as Target and other stores of their ilk.
