People seem to miss "time" when they "attempt" to compare death ratio's.

Comparing what happens statistically over a year, to what happens in days, is just plain wrong.

All good here, living under our governor's draconian ( and constitution trampling mandates). Wearing a mask when going out which is rare. Don't plan on getting the Wuhan Flu if I can help it. Will be interesting to see what the 'new normal' turns out to be.

I suspect a lot of businesses will never come back, especially small ones.

So... rumors of your demise were greatly exaggerated?

Well Sweden isnt exactly quarantining, so we shall see....
We need to quarantine old folks and comorbidities, not all healthy people. We can have many more healthy people in businesses working in masks & gloves than we have now.
We dont need to outlaw riding in motorboats in MI or flying drones over houses to catch people outside watering their flowers.
We dont work-we will ALL die, not just the old folks.

We went for a walk yesterday and saw 12 guys standing elbow to elbow steelhead fishing under a bridge in Mishawaka, IN. They were handing each other the poles, beers, high fives, helping hands up the banks, etc... weren't doing much for their own cause, there.

Also, every time a jogger came running past huffing and puffing, I held my breath! Wife commented on that as well. We gotta find a more remote place to walk next time.

People (sheeple) are their own worst enemies Mossy. I find it amazing that for a disease that has no known cure, has no vaccine developed for it yet and is highly transmittable how people have such a cavalier attitude abut it. What concerns me is the asymptomatic ones, the ones that can transmit it to others. Read about Singapore yesterday. They 'thought' they had it licked until it blew up and now they are second guessing their actions. That very scenario could play out here with some States planning on 'opening things up' soon. Could be a really 'grand' opening, time will tell I guess.

I know one thing for certain and that is, my wife and I will continue to practice social distancing, wear masks, not eat in any sit down restaurants or get carry out until there is either a treatment or vaccine developed and we can get inoculated. How it plays with us.

I walk every morning and evening on our country road, with my dog, and never see a soul. See deer and squirrels and birds and thats it. Just the way I prefer it.

Better take a long hard look at Singapore.

Much to some people's chagrin I suspect. I had computer issues that my IT needed to address and he needed the unit physically and I wasn't about to deliver it to him in Chicagoland so I sent it to him and he sent it back when 'repaired' and that took some time. I haven't even moved the car for a month. Farm equipment yes, car, no.

Sir, I take a long hard look at everything related, but do you realize that nobody will survive unless we sustain our economy? You may be safe and secure but there’s probably over millions of Americans who will perish without food and shelter.
We need to realize that depression will kill more than the virus! We are also finding out that the death rate will be much lower than projected. With all the flu deaths every year, do we shut the whole economy down? The flu has a vaccine and still kills more people. And the flu kills young people, too.

I’m not saying let’s have everything open up, cruises, airplanes, restaurants, etc. Not at all. And I appreciate your concern for your fellow man.
I’m saying let’s responsibly open up businesses that are needlessly shuttered and keep up the gloves, masks, hand washing, etc.

I'm in agreement with that. Not a big issue with me because I farm and 99% of what I do, I do alone anyway. My issue with all the 'orders' issues by the governors is, it tramples my Constitutional rights and I have no choice in the matter and that is wrong. Like Virginia and Northham ramming through his gun control agenda because the pandemic has limited citizen participation, or here in Michigan where you cannot use a boat with a motor to fish but you can use a canoe without a motor. I didn't see the pot shops or booze stores close and I don't consider them essential, guess the governor does. Maybe she's a doper, who knows.

I do know that if it continues unabated, one the economy will go south to the point of not coming back for decades and two, there could very well be civil unrest. People are already getting antsy. Especially the unemployed ones that cannot get unemployment because their states systems are antiquated and cannot handle the applications. That is Michigan to a Tee.
