The economy has taken a hit, for sure, but it is not trashed. Its recovered nearly 40% from its lows.

Obviously your stuck on paper money tied to a stock market. Recovered? LOL. 22 plus million people out of work, small businesses with no life lines, people without health insurance...and oh.. the Federal Government just pushed a couple of trillion dollars down the road.

The whole economy shutdown about a month ago. Where you been?

dont wear mask. wont wear mask. sorry, not falling for this apocalyptic plague. as many people, if not more, die every year from flu. more people die than this from cancer (smoking, etc). i have managed to avoid the flu for over 10 years by staying away from sick people. doing the same thing now. im healthy so not too concerned. i do not get flu shots.,..never have. dont get flu.

more than likely not get vaccine for this Chinese manufactured virus either. Retired so dont go to town much anyways. wife is kind of a prepper, so were not light on anything. i guess i cant chide her for prepping anymore.

Self centered. How do you KNOW you are not a carrier?

If the CDC would have pushed the use of face masks early, instead of saying they weren稚 needed, the numbers would have been significantly lower.

My opinion: They focused on a mask protecting the person who wears it and therefore if you were not wearing an N95 or N100 mask it was worthless. Several of the threads right here on TBN discussed the size of the particles a person sneezed or coughed when it reached the other person. The medical community eventually began focusing on the fact the particles that are sneezed or coughed can be stopped by simple material, N95 and N100 masked were not needed, if the infected but asymptomatic carrier, meaning, if everyone wears a mask when around others, everyone is protected.

Unfortunately, there are still people who think a mask protects them. It doesn't. It protects others. Not wearing a mask is height of self-centeredness.

It does bring up a very good point. IF we want to let our friends and enemies know what happened to us, we could leave word of how to contact our "significant others" when we disappear off of these forums we have been on for years. I left my info with Moss some time back. Of course I can be "looked up" pretty easily by my screen name. But finding 5030 or California would be another matter. Not so easy. For those in the know, I will also appear in QST magazine in the SK "silent key" list after a while. Some of you may remember I searched those list's for "soundman" pretty hard and thankfully DID NOT find him there. I did track him down though, but it wasn't super easy. I had to search here and find his callsign and go from there, whitepages and all of that. Of course you may not want us to know what happened to you...

I keep a red binder in my basement with names, addresses, contacts, accounts, passwords, location of septic tank... all the important stuff, just in case we can't access things on-line after the apocalypse.

And speaking of Briggs and Stratton, I just came in from mowing the lawn. I wore my facemask. Of course I wore one before I ever heard of Covid-19. Dang allergies.

My wife has sewed up several for us and her sister. We have to visit her parents once a week, so I never take it off when over there, and don't go into their living areas. I usually stay out on the porch or in the garage and talk to them through the windows. I leave non-perishable groceries in the trunk of their van and perishables in the refrigerator in their garage. Mom comes out and gets them a few days later.

We are fortunate that wife's sibling works at a big box store, and they are allowed to purchase 1 item a day, like Lysol spray, Clorox wipes, hand sanitizer, TP, before it goes out on the shelves. So sibling buys two-packs, gives one to us and one to her parents.
