'We need to do more testing.' lacks details and my paranoid side thinks this is the next reason developed to keep people at home. The first reason was so the hospitals would not be overrun. In other words, make the 'open up' criteria so strict, it is a de facto stay at home order.

1. How long is a test 'good for'?
2. What documentation do I need to maintain to 'prove' my test was negative?
3. Who certifies the test used?
4. Who certifies the test results?
5. Do I have to show this documentation every time I enter my workplace, a bar, a restaurant, Home Depot, Lowes, etc.
6. What happens to the business if it is determined someone who tested positive was there? We have been told, the area they worked in, and every place they might have reasonably been in, must be disinfected following CDC guidelines and not be occupied for 24 hours after disinfecting. I imagine most business currently clean nightly, perhaps not to CDC standards, so the cleaning requirement might not be onerous, but not using the area for 24 hours post cleaning probably would be.
7. Who pays for the test kits?
8. What about people who have had CV19 and recovered? Will they test positive? For how long?

It is much too simplistic to say we need to do more testing.

I can’t speak but anyone else but I have kids and grandkids. I’m just as concerned about the economic health of our country for our young as the pandemic health issues.

It is much too simplistic to say we need to do more testing.

With any insight it's obvious that "just more testing" with the current tests available leaves a lot to be desired...What is needed is better, faster, cheaper testing...that does not require trained technicians etc...inexpensive personal monitoring devices are also a possibility...
...Cheap reliable instant result tests can and will be developed much faster than any type of vaccine etc. can be made and tested...

Inexpensive, instant tests could be used daily...the key is getting them developed and mass produced and distributed which can be done much faster than any other solution...even if it is a finger prick blood type test with instant results...

IMO The powers that be should be offering incentives to any lab/company that can develop an effective, inexpensive fast result test that can be mass produced rapidly...

Only in an uncontrolled space or environment...(like public places) non public work places can easily be controlled...
