I agree. It's a message. The state I live in doesn't require wearing a mask when walking alone with a dog....but my local town and the county require that you have one and put it on if it looks like you are going to be close to people. Doing that shows politeness as well as pure common sense. That's an unbeatable combination.

But back to the subject of deals and the pandemic...
Most of the people on this forum - buyers and sellers both - are folks who have enough land to need a tractor.
That's a pretty affluent group by the most traditional of standards, i.e. Landownership.

So it doesn't surprise me that tractor owners are not much affected by the pandemic, and also that they are a group who ultimately expect to be more affected by the supply of goods than by their ability to afford them.

Ok I think we all know heavily modified trucks werent really part of the discussion.
A regular F150 King ranch is a nice truck, but $62000??? That’s crazy.

It was a Limited, not a King Ranch. My last KR I think I paid around 54k. That was a 2014.

My lady friend showed me a picture of a great many large commercial aircraft parked in the desert. I bet you could get a good deal on one right about now, and if not, probably in the not too near future, when the train really wrecks.

Many of them will be "parted out", or cut up for scrap.
Particularly the older, less efficient ones, like the MD88s, MD90s, 757s, 767s, and earlier 737s.
The total will number in the many 100s.

I feel a little guilty about it, but I've been looking for one of those really good deals on a particular motorcycle that I'd like to have. So far it isn't happening, and the few that I've seen for sale (Suzuki RG-500, pretty rare here as it was never imported to the US) are at the same high price they've always been. I'm not sure it would be right to take advantage of someone who's lost his job and has to sell some unnecessary item. But on the other hand, it might be helping them out of a bind. I think back to the great depression (I didn't live through it) when money dried up and people couldn't pay their mortgages. Those who still had cash were able to grab up a lot of land for a little bit of cash. I hope nothing like that happens ever again.

Me too.
I don’t think it will happen to that degree because there’s so many more government protections in place. We are a much more socialist society now than we were then.
