Buying from an out of state dealer

Sounds like you have a button or switch on your "aux" you hold while operating loader. That's how diverters usually work vs a true power beyond set-up. The diverter is directing flow from your loader to the grapple. Diverter set up can only operate one function at a time. A suggestion... Does your "aux" button have a hold position ? Could be the button is reversed in operation. Another thought is ...Could be a simple matter of changing the switch or button from a momentary to a latching or hard switch. You will have to switch it off to use the loader normally. OR A foot switch to activate the aux, while you operate the loader by hand..

There is nothing electrical about my diverter!
I do not have an "aux button", The diverter is purely a mechanical mechanical selection.....push/pull
One position (in) allows flow to any attachment (grapple).
The other position (out) directs flow to the SSQA cylinder, and is only used when changing attachments.
My diverter has no hydraulic connection with the loader function itself.
The loader, and the diverter function operate independently.

Received a call yesterday from the driver at Barlow Equipment in Somerset, KY. Looks like my pretty much new (26 hour) BX2380 will be delivered tomorrow. That puts it at just a couple days past one month but I sorta knew coming in that it wouldn't be an immediate delivery from 800 miles away.
Should make a nice addition to the stable for mowing a rougher lot next to the house as well as yard work with the loader that my skid steer is too heavy for.

Try your best to buy local. However if the prices arent worth the added benefit of having a loyal dealer close then do what you think is best.

I tried. Even paying the extra $595 for shipping (which I thought reasonable) I still saved $2500. That was significant enough for me. Dealers that don't want to or don't have to negotiate just cause me to move further afield. I have no more loyalty to them than they do to me.
I own a local business. I very well know that you can't get 'em all.

Here's a good example of why buy local. Fresh from last week.
My local kubota dealer is also my scag dealer. I have purchased 2 tractors and a zero turn in the not too distant past.
My scaq mower with kawasaki engine apparently had a defective air filter. At 20 hours the carb throat was full of dust, engine smoking and down on power. Filter looked fine and first filter inspection, per manual, was to be at 100hrs. I'd had it over 6mo. I took it back and they offered me a 100% refund, no strings attached.

What does this have to do with buy local? Isn't this more about one (1) specific particular dealer maybe covering for his mistake or maybe being one (1) good dealer that happened to be local, like I could say about my local dealer (Barlows)?

It has a lot to do with buying local, imo. I have done a fair amount of business with this dealer, they treated me well and they have at other times too.
To your point, I could have purchased a bunch of equipment 5 hours away and they may have done the same. However, I wouldn't have been cutting grass the same day.

Trust me, I could care less where you or anyone else buys.

I try to support local but at the same time I've never had the local dealer say "We know your hours were cut back at work so we are discounting that part you need by 20%". At best I've only had one dealer (motorcycle) offer me 10% off parts for the first year. It's your money and $2500 less out of your pocket can be saved or spent elsewhere.

The one thing you need to watch when buying out of the area is campains and updates. the notifications for these go to your selling dealer and its their job to perform them. Its fair to expect the dealers selling way outside their area never do these updates. We put some boundaries on how far we'll go because of this, we do them.

This may be true......I've bought 29 Kubotas in 16 years and there have been two campaigns. One was to replace the cap on the radiator overflow bottle and sure would have hated to miss that one, actually Kubota sent me two notifications and two caps and then dealer wanted to give me another one. Can't remember what the other one was but machine was probably already gone by the time the notification came out and I believe the Dealer has to take specific action with Kubota to answer whether/when they contact customer of the sold machine about the notification/change. Maybe buying from out of state dealer is such a big deal for this specific reason since dealer has responsability to notify, just sayen.
