Why TBN isn't as enjoyable anymore

Perhaps it's time to think outside of the box and share suspending/banning power with the moderators? :soapbox:

We don't want it. We had it in the past. It made for more problems if a penalty was handed out and someone disagreed with it. Now, since the management is responsible for it, it takes the heat off the mods. As I mentioned earlier, I'm excited for the new system and hope it comes on-line quick. :thumbsup:

It says at the bottom of each forum who the moderators for that forum are.

A. Has not been her very long. Or

Every other forum I've ever been on shows the rank of Staff Members in that area. Moderator, Global Moderator, Supreme Overlord of All Things .... you know. Usually the ID is in a different color too.

True. And it also kinda brings some respect up when one of the Mods just post anything and people can clearly see his position on the forum. Instead of having to look somewhere for the moderator list, which seems to be almost hidden.

I know of at least one other that didn't until a recent software "upgrade" that switched forum software. It is a "4x4" type off-road site.
I don't think that any of the moderators on here care if anyone recognizes them as a moderator or want anything special for it.

Well said, Mark! I gotta show that I too respect those whose posts far outweigh our individual social or political differences.

It's all of us that make this site great, each in our own way. Thanks for setting a bar for me to live up to. jon
