Not in all cases. Some of the nastiest posters have high intellects. They are just bad to the bone. Some are very quick witted and well read. They use their skills to hurt rather than help others. Many under the guise of "educating" them. I think Schadenfreude plays a part here in their thinking too. If course I could be wrong, and perhaps I am on many lists as well.

Just trolls that get twisted kicks from it.

Similar to what JethroB posted, we had a sick leave program you got into if you used too much sick leave. I think in the program you had to come back in with a Dr's excuse. It's been over 20 years ago and the memory is foggy on that. It got to be such headache for management keeping track and sending out monthly letters reminding them they were in the program. Guys would play the system and as soon as they gout out of the program they would call in sick. Management approached the union and it got dropped.

Southern Pacific railroad had a points penalty system..Only the points did not roll off.

If you got 100 points as an engineer, you were out.

I know a guy who worked years with over 90 points.

For most of my jobs, I had to sign an "at will" working agreement. I can be fired at any time for any reason. The only way to justify NOT being fired was to be a good employee, so it's in the employer's best interest to keep me.

I support anyones bad decisions as long as they do mine.

One Sunday our preacher asked for anyone that was perfect to stand up. Of course no one did.
As we were leaving the service the preachers wife looked at me and said, I thought sure you would stand up. To which I replied. Yes I started to but in addition to being perfect I am also modest.

One word on that patch we didn't see, read, or hear in any public media when we were in school.

Donna Reed and June Cleaver wouldn't tell their kids to take their 'patches' to their rooms and clean them like a sitcom Mom would today.
