I would not use an impact on any gearing. Impact on a screw shaft is distributed along the entire shaft. So very effective on bolts and nut. No so on any gear or spline. Most landing gear has a bevel gear to convert horizontal motion to vertical. In that case the impact force is concentrated to a single gear tooth or spline of the landing gear. Bad or expensive things will surely happen.
