Grinding and flying Sparks

Funny, I was going to mention that. A coton rag will catch fire easily. It's on par with using a cheap wire wheel on a grinder, shirtless. Picking those steel wires out of your belly is fun! On ocassion I didn't even know I had been stuck and was horrified to see steel wire sticking out of my skin! Sometimes quite deeply.

btw, a guy can about ruin a shirt by not wearing an apron with the usual PPE. (DAMHIK )

You guys knew that. :)

I have a couple of shirts with ventilation holes from using a grinder.

Like AvE says:
If your welds sound like bacon you're doin just fine. If they smell like bacon, partner, you're on fire.

The UPS truck dropped off the curtain yesterday. It assembled quickly but the vinyl curtain needs to hang for a few days to get the wrinkles out of it. I have it hanging with some spring clamps for now.

It looks to be fairly sturdy so I will recommend it "good enough" for me.

The only ding would be for casters. For the price of it, it would have been nice if wheels were included.

4 holes + 4 chair castrs from chair waiting to go to landfill solve dat. Best get some braces on de frame before you get to rolling. Think into only hanging from top so shower curtain can be a energy killer to objects flying at it. Last a lot longer dat way den if you stretch tight.

That's a good tip, it might be just about anything flying with a vice, steel tables, and hammers working nearby.

Thanks. The curtain is to protect a friends equipment he will be storing for the winter. He lost his shed last August 10 during the derecho. I don't want to splatter his big shiny JD tractors with my junky welding.
