For erosion, the most important slope is that which is at the waterline (low and high) and above. If you need to go steeper below the waterline to get a lower slope above, to avoid moving 'too much' dirt... that is what I would do.I'm reading the same Eddie however I'm planning to go ahead and bring it closer to a 3:1 slope before wrapping this up. Not only for piece of mind on erosion but for a safety factor as well. As is if someone fell into the water or slid on this bank you could never stand back up. Just too steep.
