You must have much more patience than I do. :) I think I'd have to rent something for the weekend and get the areas that will soon be underwater, completed before winter.

Not expecting much precipitation this time of year and the trash pump will make it easy to get rid of what we do get.

Gentlemen... it was just a **** typo/grammar error, not paying attention. Late night posting gets me in trouble. But I do kind of like heresy... who knows, maybe it is applicable. :D

I had to comment because it made me chuckle. It's something I would type wrong myself.

Well I figure what's done is done. What ifs don't have a lot of use in my life. I figure the past is good for learning from but not so much for dwelling on. Also I've been overseas and seen how a lot of people in this world live. I'm lucky enough to understand how unbelievably blessed I am. Because of that I tend to have a pretty positive outlook on life in general. Especially considering we are all on borrowed time, I prefer not to spend it on the negative.
Love this outlook and I feel the same way for the most part. Sometimes I have to stop and reset myself though as it is easy to get sucked into conversations with complaining coworkers and such. We have it good and many don't want to realize that.

The pond really is looking good but maybe time to take a break and spend more time with the family. 'Tis the season....

I agree. My career took me to the bowels of the World. I always paid close attention to how individuals lived in those places. I have nothing to complain about.

We didn't get enough rain to measure today. Still calling for 1-3" of snow. We'll see.

I've got a shop project going on so not too worried about it. Tried to finish up all my outside stuff Wednesday and Thursday.

Pond is done. At least everything below the waterline. Going to take advantage of the next 3 days of warm weather to add some fish habitat then will work on the emergency overflow this spring.

Wow... blessed with warm dry weather. What great 'summer' project! So looking forward to next summer and winter pics!

Looks really nice.

For habitat, remember that fish spend 90% of their time in the top 4 feet of the water. For the habitat to be useful, it needs to be near the surface of the water.

I did not know that! Regardless of fish species? And what will be stocked, bass? Around here it would be trout but maybe summer temps too hot there for them?

It's all about how much light passes through the water. 4 feet is the magic number for most fish. Deeper then 4 feet and there is less oxygen in the water, less nutrients and less food.

They will go deeper if conditions warrant, but ideally, 4 feet is your magic depth for the most activity.
