Buying Advice Kubota B2650 to LX2610

I sold my B2650tlb and the new LX2610tlb will be ready this next week.

I had “guessed” that the fel on the LX2610, LA535, would have more lift than the LA534 on the B2650.

According to Kubota’s online brochures, I guessed wrong.



Am I reading these charts wrong?

The Kubota numerical Loader designation "LA535" historically has been the KG lift capability of the loader. So you should have gained 1 KG in this upgrade or 2.2 pounds more.

Hope this wasn't the main goal of this upgrade!

It would be pretty cool if it were accurate. I checked 3 loader models and quit. Kinda like tractor model numbers and horsepower. Loosely approximated at times, very seldom exact and hardly ever understated. Using either as a purchase guide is not a good idea.

If you look at the specs in my post, you'll see that the la535 has less capacity than the previous la534.

Well, that is possible , but the
lift capacity (pivot pin)
wouldn’t be affected by the ssqa would it?

No. It will lift X at the pins. X may include different mounted attachments and the net load will vary but the rating will not change. That is exactly why the rating is established at that point.

In my opinion the LX looks better than the B50 series. The slightly higher hood makes it look more well proportioned to the cab. To me the B looks like a giant cab on a tiny tractor.

Not sure if this is relevant in your case but LX tractors equipped with the mechanical self-leveling package have reduced payload vis a vis those without self-leveling due to the parasitic weight of the self-leveling hardware.

I believe the SSQA does effect the rating. I recall that my BX25D was rated a bit higher than the follow-on BX23S due to the BX23S's newer SSQA. Additional weight of the SSQA FEL assembly (sans attachments) in front of the pin would still proportionally effect capacity at the pin, but at a reduced amount, right?. Good luck...

Just for reference, the last digit is just the loader series, the first 2 are approx lift capacity in kg, so the 534 and 535 should have the approx the same often capacity, but as stated standard accessories can decrease the total capacity.

The ssqa is standard on the LA535, so that might be the small decrease in total capacity that you're seeing
