Heck, I have been social distancing since 911. I stay away from and don't get in crowds. Reminds me of waiting in line at Astroworld back in the late 60s. Dad said he didn't like lines. Said everywhere in the military he went, they were standing in lines.

One of the vaccines is really finicky as to how it's stored and used. My wife has reservations about that one.

Then main issue is if it's gonna actually be handled and administered correctly. That vaccine has also had a high number of severe reactions.

My wifes theory is that it's not being handled and administered correctly and that is causing the reactions.

The Moderna vaccine has had less adverse side effects as well as easier to handle. So there is a higher chance that it is administered correctly.

I told my vet I could give my dog it's penicillin, as I can buy it at the feed store and have done it before. The Vet. assistant said, yes you can, but it may have not been refrigerated correctly. I let them them give my dog his shot.

Yeah, but then why was the news reporting 3 people today had adverse reactions, 2 yesterday, and so on and so forth? And all on the Pfizer vaccine. .

That's an additional 313,000 deaths in the U.S. this year VS 2019.

No idea ... but 3 + 2 don't seem like high numbers to me ... particularly in light of the number of doses that have now been administered ... :confused3:

I think I was exposed to it in November 2013. My friend was feeling too bad to eat Turkey dinner and had to go to the ER with difficulty breathing and no taste and no smell. He was checked out for the flu, which he was told it wasn't and that it was some respiratory problem. He came home and finally got better. This was way before the government said Covid was here. I told the counter girl at my hydraulic shop that story and she said the staff at the hyd. shop went through the same thing.

indicating at the time that out of 270,000 vaccines given, there were 6 allergic reactions (which can be very serious, not trying to make light of it), 1 of which was a person that had a history of allergic reactions to previous vaccine for rabies.

Still looking for current data.

Astroworld had just had the grand opening and we were in lines outside the covered area with A/C vents, standing in the sun.

This Doctor had an allergic reaction to the Moderna vaccine, and gave himself a shot with his own epi pen. He carries that because he has a severe shellfish allergy. Despite the reaction, he still urges people to get the vaccine when available.

Another of our neighbors got it. Probably got it from the asymptomatic grandkids she had over to bake Christmas cookie. Mother of the grand children tested positive after Thanksgiving get together with the mother's parents. So far fairly minor, head ache, fever, rash and some lower GI issues.

In CA, the more draconian the Covid rules, the higher the infection rate. Its because their leadership is too stupid to realize the more people you jail at home, especially around thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year gatherings, the more in-home super spreader events will happen.
Look at the last 5 pages of this thread, sick at home!
Meanwhile FL has relaxed Covid rules and much lower cases.

Maybe one day CA will realize people need to be outside or spaced out, but I doubt it.

California's COVID death rate per 100,000 is 62.

That makes Florida more than 50% higher than California per capita.

That assumes that the numbers being reported for Florida are accurate.

Excellent! 50,000 people EACH DAY hospitalized with COVID between the two states last week.

Looks like California has done a much better job at flattening the curve as compared to FL.
