Wife had gallbladder issues the last time we visited Vermont. Usually one of our must have stops is the Cabot factory store in Stowe for a wander through the tasting area and a few purchases to snack on later at the Airbnb.

I had a forlorn look as we passed by the store I couldn't bring myself to torture her with a stop where she couldn't eat any of the offerings.

You're a good man.

Been scarfing down some gruyere cheese in my recipes lately. I like it :licking: Even tho wifey corrects my pronunciation of it every time. Dang first R, cannot seem to remember it.

What cheeses do you all like?

The Post Office also offers a "book rate", which is much less that the flat rate box, but would likely take longer.

Book rate has to be something in writing like a book, magazines, documents, etc.

Not even sure documents count unless it's something published like a service manual or something. Records and CDs can also be sent book rate.

I go thru the town of Cabot maybe once a month on the way to one of my work sites. Cabot creamery is only a few miles out of my way. Lots of stuff at the factory store that isn't generally available anywhere else.

Medicine (small package) shipped from Alexandria, Va Dec.14th got to Oxford, Ms Dec.20th (about 80 miles from me). Still has not gotten the remaining miles. That's 7 days in Oxford Ms.
Finally arrived, spent 9 days in Oxford.
Interesting aside - my Kaiser charged me $10 for the medicine. The doctor wrote me another prescription so I could pick it up at the local Walmart. They wanted $477 for the same meds.

that is a completely different rant topic! I just filled mine for 3 months. My co pays were close to $200 total. So I looked into goodrx. Found I could get it down to like $75 by switching to costco. I guess in 3 months I will do that.

Most of my meds are generic and come by mail with no co-pay. If filled at a pharmacy, a 90 day supply costs me $4. Recently, testosterone gel has been deemed 'Hazardous' by USPS and can no longer be mailed. Silly

Another vote for GoodRx, saved me a lot on prescriptions. You've got to shop around, no one place has the best prices on everything. Even though it's a little less convenient, Hannaford seems to have the best prices for what both my wife and I need. Cosco isn't around here.
