It is directly related to your previous year IRS filing.
I got $170.40
You obviously had a higher reported income,.... and THAT is a GOOD thing!

I’m sure it will. Just not in this country.

We took our last stimulus and bought food and such for local charities. It helped stimulate local economy and local people in need of a hand out.

It does help some people. My cousin had just changed jobs as the shutdown occurred so she had no job and struggled to get unemployment. That check kept her in food.

Anyone who doesn't need or want their stimulus can always distribute it. I gave some to my cousin, some to the food bank, some to a woman who was making masks and donating them.

being retired and on 11 acres with good neighbors and a workshop and porch I was A-OK. Our Guv cut off the booze supply but the beer store was considered essential.

You are right fried1765. My 2019 income went up to $32K.

That's a good question for your accountant.

Last year I took some of mine and raised meat chickens, then donated them to a couple of local food pantries. They probably would have preferred money, but I enjoy raising livestock. This year mine's in limbo, until I get things straightened out with them. At least some of it will go to charity when that does happen.

It looks like the next $1400 is getting some pushback, apparently some of our legislators are starting to realize we need to slow down the printing presses. If there is round III it may target people who actually were affected by Covid. :thumbsup:
