Ls tractor dash lights

I have now had my ls xr 4150c for about a year. Fairly trouble free at this point. First regen at 44 hrs second at 97. Continued working through both with no issue. After multiple unsuccessful requests to get it to dealer fir 50 hr service ( ah, youll be fine till 100, its hay season got no room, covid, parts backordered, etc,) finally just changed oil myself. ( they did supply oil and filter). Now have develoved small hydro and oil leak so going to try to get it in again. Anyway, has been good machine though loader is somewhat lacking. My question is about dash lights. I turn key on and all lights on dash come on. During operation part of them function . Dealer says designed that way. Do ls just not use part of the operating lights

Usually the dashboard is made to fit various models of tractors, but then they will only use the lights that are needed for the particular tractor that the dashboard is mounted to.

For instance, typically the compact tractors won't have 4WD light or Neutral light, etc connected, but the bigger 75HP will do, along with forward arrow and reverse arrow.

Mine didn't had the 4WD light or the Neutral light connected. I just added two proximity sensors and made it work.

I have a 4150. All the dash lights do come on when you first turn the key to on. The glow plug light will stay on for awhile when it is cold. Turn signals come on when used. As will the regen lights and others. There is one hour glass light that stays on when the engine is running and time being added to the hour meter. Which lights are not coming on?

Thank you for replies. Mred2, sound just like mine so if it’s a normal thing , then all good. But I would like to figure out the set up ptsg has. A neutral and 4wd light would be really helpful at times. Love the tractor so far, does all U need it to do and fun to use. Spoke with dealer today, hope to get it in to check leaks soon. Not really concerned about hydro leak at loader fittings but a bit concerned about oil leak that seems to be at center bottom of casing. Hopefully will get it in a know soon. Busy/ fun tractor season coming up fast!

Key On, Engine Off is sometimes a self test point where everything comes on, even things that aren't normally used. Sometimes that's the only way to check and see if a certain light or gauge is working and can help determine between the light or gauge and the sending unit or wire harness being faulty.

But I would like to figure out the set up ptsg has. A neutral and 4wd light would be really helpful at times.

Agreed, it would be nice if my MT240 also had the 4WD and Neutral lights working. I often forget to take it out of 4WD and for whatever reason, if I am wearing shorts, and get off the tractor they always seem to catch and bump the tractor out of gear and I don't always notice it until I get back on, try to move and think WTF.
If this is a fairly simplistic mod, I'd be into it.

Agree on the 4WD and Neutral lights. Mine does beep when and in gear and you put the brake on. Also beeps when you get off the tractor without the brake on.
And I find myself checking a lot of time if it is in 4WD.

If you guys manage to find the pin out of the dashboard plug and the electric diagram, it's easy to do.

Although I have a different brand, I happy to show how I mounted the proximity switches.

I agree 100%! 4wd is the main one since I usually load it onto the trailer in 4wd to be safe but then when I unload off the trailer, I sometimes forget I'm in 4wd!
