Vaccine is county administered and some are doing much better than others...
Also the HMO appear to be better adept at rolling out the doses.
The elderly living at home without an advocate are often left behind...
Can't have Senior Services wait around as they pickup and drop off... Most of my senior friends do not have computers or smart phones...
"Most of my senior friends do not have computers or smart phones"
THAT is the primary issue!
I signed up Saturday (lucky to find an open appointment) to get the shot at 2:42 PM today.
Closest site for me was Gillette (football) stadium, which is 85 miles away.
Heavy snow was forecast for the stadium area.
The TV news broadcast this morning that appointments were waived because of the storm, come any time you want, but they would stop giving shots at 3:00 PM because of forecast weather.
I jumped in my car at 8:30 AM, and arrived at the stadium at 10:15 AM.
The system was well organized, but they have had practice giving these shots for the past 3 weeks, to "first responders".
The biggest issue for me came at the very end!
Sign up for the second shot on your cell phone.
That was a total chit show for me (80)!
Took me 20 minutes to get that very frustrating task done, and with my big fingers, on my little old I-Phone 5!
Guess I am all set now though.
Show up at 11:30 AM on March 1st., for shot #2
Moderna vaccine! IT'S ALL GOOD!
