I am a retired land surveyor and have worked in this town for 35 years off and on. It floods often. When ever the first really bad flood was, 1991?, several people elevated there homes but many didn’t. I’m not sure why they hang on, not much of a town but great vies of the Mississippi.

Some snow photos while BC skiing today. The indentations in the snow is a flowing creek we go over and over again. The 4th one is from the off-trail survival training and not sure why the computer feels in needs to be in the middle.

The last one is snow that's starting to sag off a nearby home. Thought it had a neat look to it.

Jon, There are locations around town that are used for snow storage. The one I showed is on a dead-end street and where we reside on. Once these locations get filled, it will be moved to a snow dump where it sits until spring. There are quite a few location around town that snow gets pushed into, then after X days of snow, it needs to be cleared. I'll attach a photo of that same location earlier this winter.

That is a lot of snow Arly. In the winter of 2009-10 we hauled snow away for the local city. This year mainly ice blah

We are having a low snow year here... I can't find the exact number right now but we might be 100" behind normal.

Snow has shut down so the city crews are cleaning up banks. I took this on a street very near our home. I also went to the nearest snow dump and seen next to nothing left in it. Its been a low, low snow year. In the left yard, you can see the sledding hill I had previously rolled for the kids. (not our kids!)
