Morning all! 47 heading to 65/70!
Oak tree is now split all the way down to the ground. Pine tree is bent about 6 feet out of plumb. Both are falling down slowly. Hopefully will have a crane coming today to take it down. In the mean time I cleaned out the garage in case the pine comes down. Sure glad most of the snow is gone and the yard is dry so I could drive the cars to the other side of my yard. Tractor and implements are hopefully safe too! No wind in the forecast till monday but this rain will soften up the ground. (fingers crossed it holds till the crane comes) Feel bad that this will cost the neighbor more than we thought. Is just to dangerous to fell with it all tangled and rotten. Will grab some more pictures if possible.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!
I have a tree in front yard/woods like that. It is not near any thing that it would harm. I still want to get it down. But afraid it more than my tractor can handle.

Good Morning
It’s 50 and going to 70 here today. Got 2-1/2” of rain yesterday, possibly some more this evening.

Spent all day in the shop, got a fair amount done on the speaker, as well as some tidying up yesterday.

Today, I’ll be back in the shop, I do have a light fixture to install in the walk-in freezer at the restaurant, and I might have to give my mechanical contractor buddy a hand. This evening I’m planning to fire up the smoker and put some pork shoulders in it.

Fortunately no ill effects from Tuesday’s Pfizer shot. I can only hope the same applies to the second one.

52 and heavy fog. Going to 74 and sun by afternoon.

Toppop, cool stuff...one item looked like it could roast coffee.

Kyle, started the video, looks interesting...will finish after my chores.

Mostly, I'm with Ron, those Big people need bikes.

Rained all day yesterday, so finished my son's taxes after getting more info from them, and other paperwork.

Might be the mini liquor still you saw, but he does have a roaster with hand grinder. I’ll go back through the pics and see what I have.

American Pickers are coming in April to check it out, I doubt he’d sell much. Leaving it to a museum would be more like him.

I didn’t show his tractor collection or his carriages, several of which he built himself.

47F cloudy afternoon sun might reach 70F rain arriving over night.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Raccoon show up last evening had good treat but the kittens put up fuss watch raccoon eat from the kitchen window.
Plans for today...not sure yet.

Enjoy the day all.

56-74 today, foggy this morning. We got about 1.7” of rain from the system.
I’m going to have to mow before too long.
I’m behind on morning chores, I’ll check in later.

Good Morning!!!! 48F @ 5:00AM. Mainly sunny to start, then a few afternoon clouds. High 67F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Hope everything goes OK with the tree, Phil!

I bet your FIL had a lot of fun collecting all that stuff, Randy.

Splitter made quick work of filling up the last pallet yesterday, so after lunch I got another pair of steel pallets disassembled. Angle grinder repair is working fine, and ran the band saw such that I could cut 6 pieces of tube at a time. Still more to go, but there's enough I'll be welding today while the saw is running.

All that work was good for the sore arm. Either it doesn't hurt as much or everything else hurts more. 😄 No other side effects noted so far.

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

Good morning! 54˚F heading to the mid 70s, clear skies. Rain showers were predicted for last night so I turned my irrigation system off and sure enough rains came around 3a.m. Tempest .29" Cocorahas .46"

Good call on the split tree Phill, never know which way split trees and hung-up trees will land.

Randy looks like your FIL has enough stuff for a Memory Museum.

Good morning All.

55 and cloudy right now. It was 53 when the dogs went out this morning. Lots of rain yesterday and last night, estimated 2”. My glass cylinder rain gauge hasn’t gone out for the season yet .

Grass is greening up but don’t anticipate the need to cut lawn for a few more weeks .

Randy- did I spy a red painted hand crank corn sheller in your FIL’s stuff? I sure could use that in the years that we grow popcorn!

I hope everyone has a great day.

Frank

48°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 59° today. Rain expected most of the day, with a few storms this afternoon.

I tried to remove a split tree like that once, Phil. I don't recommend it. It sprung out and, but for my ninja reflexes, nearly took my head right off. It did knock the chainsaw out of my hands, which I'd used to try to "block" it, and ripped the do-rag off my head. A close call that I didn't enjoy enough to ever repeat.

That's pretty funny eh

62F and somewhat cloudy @ 11:30, headed up to a high of 73F for the day. Forecast is calling for rain to start around 18:00.

Ten Day forecast is bouncing around quite a bit ... showing cooler one day, then warmer the next, etc. Currently shows warmer until next Thursday then a big cool down with highs only in the 40's for Wednesday and Thursday. Hopefully that will change to warmer temps.

Cats being entertained by squirrels and chipmunks scavenging in the yard.

Got quite a bit of seat time yesterday working the remaining grass clippings into the compost pile ... to the point my right leg/knee was aching by the time I was finished. Thankfully, that's now all done.

Need to move pallet the cat litter was on from in front of garage to get it out of the way.

Make up three more containers of white worms and then start juggling things around so fish are easier to catch and bag, which will probably take quite a bit of time tomorrow.

Also get canister filter put back together and installed on living room fish tank.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ... (y)

Poured first cup of coffee. 46° with mostly clear skies this morning. Heading to 65° with cloudy skies and afternoon rain. Got waterfall filter pump line dug out yesterday. Can tell it was leaking last year. But cannot tell where leak is. Will have to install filter and pump to see leak. Not today. After some complaining to American Home Shield when they asked me to renew my contract. They agreed to replace furnace that was installed last January. While a High Efficiency Furnace was installed it did not have 2 stage burner and variable speed. New one is suppose to have these features. After having these features for 20 years I missed the first stage burner and quiet low speed operation of old furnace. Contractor will be out to install it today. No other plans for the day.
New spring visitors to feeders. Cowbird.

A somewhat attractive bird ... unfortunately.

Hope furnace install goes well ... (y)

RS, I lost count. How many cats do you have?

Just four ... three up, one down ... ;)

Chipmunks are all over the place here, always are.

It's a tradition started by Irv's first post.

You'd have seen that if you'd read the whole thread, starting at the beginning, of course!👀:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Good afternoon! 65 now, rain and wind later tonight.

Waiting to get a haircut. You have to wait outside until it is your turn, but you don’t need to wear a mask while inside, but the girls who work there have to wear a mask. Still trying to figure that one out.

Also waiting for a coil for the one chainsaw. Started just fine on Sunday, ran for a couple of minutes and shut off, never to start again. Tested things the other night and the coil either shows a dead short or open depending on which leg of the coil you test. And no spark at all, tried different plugs too. Sad thing, it is the newer saw of the 2.

Everyone stay safe out there, time to get my locks trimmed.

69°F and .03 inches rain.

Need to track down a problem with my Dish TV. Thinking it might be something I did when working the internet a while back.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

That way you can say golly I wish I lived in Texas or Thank goodness I'm glad I don't live in Texas. :D

Now that spring is coming Texas is looking pretty nice.(y)

59F completely overcast here . A nice day to be somewhere else.

Don't forget it's also the most important information in the whole wide world. It determines everything from our next power outage to the cars we will be driving 10 years from now to the cab or no cab tractor decisions and is the excuse/reason billions and billions of dollars are spent each year.

Is there an easy way to find my first post on this thread? I scrolled through the first 75 pages already with no luck.
