Funny you should say that... two of three of the latest I know leaving with home being sold landing in Florida... the other another Idaho relocation...

From what I here Boise is fast becoming a SF Bay Area colony... can’t go to the market without bumping into an ex-pat.

Appears some banks will not be reopening closed branches and open branches cutting back permanent.

Always said if I was stuck it would not be a bad place to be stuck...

Not the city proper but a kilometers in the direction Lake Wolfgang

Right now they are under hard lockdown and my friends say they wish they were stuck in America...

Reminds me of Winston Churchill's line..... Never waste a good crisis....

Most/all banks have been looking for any way to reduce paying employees to handle cash...... the last year worked out well for them in that respect

Way back when, Canadian banks had a Too Bad, So Sad policy about Debit fraud, so I too never have used Debit. But, I'm probably only one of 3 people in Canada like that.... Debit took off really fast here.

You may be locked into some kind or kinds of electronic solutions going forward ur, be it a bank or 3'rd party offering. About the only thing I can suggest is your bank should offer a PC based solution for scanning cheques; people routinely do that with smart phones (just send a pic), so I can't see a technical barrier to doing that with a PC + digital camera.

Strange Daze indeed......

My family is from Germany, and I have lived in Europe.
I think I could do that too, though the total Socialism would be tough to swallow.

I think you are correct.

Around here, most bank lobbies are still closed. You need an appointment to go inside.

All other stores, restaurants, clubs, etc want folks to come. Not banks. They want calls. Many branches are permanently closed.

It’s too easy for them to get money from Fed at zero interest. They don’t need depositors at zero interest.

Times, as always, will change. Then, they will open doors and build new branches.

If you move to a socialist state of your own free will I may think you crazy but I would respect your choice. It's when you want to make me live under it by changing my system that we have problems.

My local Wells Fargo lobby is open with the only restriction being a mask. I think it's nonsense but I follow their rules on the rare occasion I have to go inside. I have a personal banker at WF and, although I have never asked, Im pretty sure if I did ask him to meet me at the door with a sizable amount of my cash money he could do it.

Wells Fargo? Did you realize that's a California bank? :)
