Value of a Kubota down the road

20 years ago I bought my 1984 L275 for $6500... that's what it went for new 17 years earlier. I looked a long time and it was the only decent thing I could find in that price range... except a new, comparable sized Hardy.
The Kubota will use a LOT LESS oil than the hardley...

In 1957 my ford 851 sold for $3200 new..today there about 3k-4k..that could just mean inflation has kept up.

On a side note I bought a kubota B8200 with loader with non working hour meter, shot flywheel ring gear, broken steering box and a hal broken rim for $5k about 2yrs ago. The tractor alone sold for close to $12k..I still dont know who made out on that deal.

That was no real decision involved. I worked the crap out of that little Kubota and it took all I could give it for 15 years... Unfortunately I kept it for 16. :D It's a wonder that I didn't break it right in two, the way I worked it for the first few years.

Reminds me of an old crank call.
Q: Do you have a Kubota down the road?
A: Well you better run out and catch it!
In my opinion, one of the best inflation hedges out there.
Plus it pays hefty dividends while you own it.

Kubota's especially the non emissions ones (any size) are appreciating in value every day.

read your post about the Kubota mower you bought. Glad the dealer fixed it. They lost big time on that one... I'll have to peruse my dealer's back lot and see if they have a used one, they look interesting and probably ride better than my zero turn which is a kidney bruiser. Even installed a suspension seat and it didn't help much.

Nearly any brand right now without computers and regen have increased in value.

The thread of Right-To-Repair gives big insights why. ;)
