To everyone having ReGen issues with Yanmar, how to and when to regen is in the operators manual. No one indicated if there was any lights or buzzer going off, All those Regens at low intervals is not correct, follow the manual & then ck. It is correct that the manf wants you to run the engine at a high rpm and also with an engine load to burn off the PM'S. Remember, If the engine does not get hot enough it will not burn off PM'S or regen and that is where issues show themselves. On the note of reps. it was not all because of the virus that Yanmar let their field reps go, they purchased ASV and many changes were and are still being made. If need be and you still have an issue, call Yanmar direct and click on Ag and tell the person who answers you want to talk to the person in charge of Ag. tractors. I would also get the dealership owner involved, Yanmar take notice

Yanmar wont take notice on this forum unless you just purchased a new tractor or it has to do with hats or lapel pins.

DavidL61, I don't know what happened on the last part of the sentence, meant to say that the Japanese do not like to have customers upset with their products, by having the owner call the office he will know who to talk to, sales manager, who will talk to the other Japanese person in charge of AG. Be persistent and you will get a call. Yes, these low hours of regen is not correct, as long as the regen was performed per manual than there might be an issue with the two sensors on the DPF . Their diagnostic program can see what is going on and the dealer can copy and send the pages with the read outs to Yanmar to observe real time info

I just had my third regen at ~190 hours. Each time the tractor indicated it wanted to regen, I was doing something with the tractor that was consistent with the regen procedure. Consequently, I just kept working through the procedure.

So far, I have had excellent service from my local dealer. My tractor was purchased before the 10-year warranty was offered. Working with my dealer, I qualified for the extended warranty. There were a couple issues that came up after the original warranty expired, but they worked with Yanmar people and they covered a couple of parts and labor under warranty.

Today, I was working with a contractor whose hobby is collecting and restoring big earth moving equipment. We were excavating the lower level of a 170 year old barn filled with rocks and boulders in preparation to repair a rubble foundation that collapsed. At the end of the day he commented how impressed he was with the capability of the YT359. Coming from him, I felt that was high praise.

Well TRACTOR RED if you had payed attention to this thread you would see that they did receive a screen shot (it was in his original post) and it looks like everything was correct accept for RPMs if you do the math 74 percent of the time tractor ran under 1900 only 4 percent above 2200 which from what someone said its a possibility of an incorrect tach. You would think that Yanmar would have looked at all sensors and there readings and if anything was out of spec and if there where no associated codes then the would have a hard time diagnosing the issue, and when it comes to contacting anyone if it was my tractor the dealer would be first then some sort of technical assistance from the factory definitely not a SALESMAN.

A few things, One screen shot not additional ones so we don't know all the info, so we have to assume somethings, Depending on what was sent to Yanmar, they would have seen specific settings , sensors, rpm, all the regen info, etc, there is a lot if info to ck over. With the tach, the dealer can see the rpm on the tool to compare to machine. We assume there was no issue? Also what did the dash say concerning regen ? What I meant by having the owner contact the Yanmar sales manager ( not sales manager ) is that he will push the service dept to find out why this dealer/customer has been having this issue and dealer can not solve it.

DaveL61, Have you had any regen notices on dash panel? Have you tried to do a Park Regen on the machine? If not I would, ck the op manual for the correct instructions, usually should take in the 30-40 minute range but a little longer depending on how dpf is.

Just went past 389 hours and YT359C tractor was new in 2017. I have had three regens in those three years. All three of them happened when I was doing haylage harvest so I just kept working. My only complaint is the electric fuel feed pump that went out in the beginning of a baling session and I had the FEL mounted. No power, no hydraulics so had bring in another tractor and rig up hoist for pulling the FEL so I could get past the FEL mount to get into the engine. Poor design but I at least learned to take off the FEL when doing cutting, baling/wrapping in case it happens again. That was at 325 hours and Yanmar said no warranty coverage after year two. That frosted my attitude for an otherwise great tractor. After reading all of the above I would say some sensor is for sure broken. Hope you get it fixed.

I'm still dealing with Yanmar with my re-gen issue. They say I'm not running it hard enough; I say BS. I'm run it at a minimum of 2200 rpm. It's been at the dealers twice and I'm also in contact with a Yanmar tech.

My tractor re-gens are averaging every 11 hours.

For those of you that have YT's, what is the average RPM you're running your tractor and if you haven't stated in relies, how many re-gens have you gone through?

Just curious how many ReGens your YT has gone through since you bought it. My YT347 has gone though three so far which seems to many for the hours I have on it. First was at 30, second at 60 and the last at 69. Maybe Yanmar can chime in as to why it already had 3 ReGens.
David, To me it sounds like you are not running the engine hard enough, in todays emmissions you need to run above 2500 to keep the soot filters clean. Techs at most shops will tell you they are designed to run higher RPM`s, most Techs say run it like you stole it!
