Your "crane scale" is a load cell.

Ahh! Thank you! I did not know that. I got it off Amazon.

Only issue is it comes with a European charger. I already had a variable voltage charger I use. It holds a charge for a long time. I hadn't charged it since I initially bought it and used it to weigh items back in January/Feb.
