That's ambitous! About 12 years ago I poured a 16x24 foot slab in three sections as you are doing; I bought a dump truck load of sand and a lot of Portland cement. I approached reinforcing a bit differently. Rather than chairs I poured 2"x12" strips, 5 feet OC for the full length. I then used mesh which somebody had given me, with enough rebar to keep it from sagging. That allowed me to drive my 5' mixer and tractor up the strips to where I needed them without ruining the reinforcement.

It's a lot of work, I don't know if I could do it now.

Thank you. Most days are good, but when a bad day hits, it's really bad. Fortunately she works at the University, and they are extremely supportive.

Started this morning a little after 7 and finished around noon. I mixed 82 sacks. The heat wasn't as bad as it has been, but it seems like I'm still feeling it from last week. My forearms are toast!!!

Thank you. I'll be 56 next month. My dad was good until he turned 80, and then pretty much fell apart.

I am nearing 81.......and feel as though I am "pretty much" falling apart!
My middle child will be 55 Oct. 5th.
