Golf courses should be the very FIRST things cut off.

hey.....how about parks and ball fields and those huge soccer complexes? Lawns-in the desert, commercial irrigation systems pumping out water in the rain?

PBS running a show all about water, said 90% is used by ag.

Takes 8 gallons of fresh water to make 1 gallon of coke a cola.

In many places golf courses are required to use grey water that's being wasted anyway.

People are gonna waste water until it becomes too expensive, then it could be too late.

I read a book in the 70s written by an economist in the 30s. He suggested using parallel water lines throughout the entire country. 1 for drinking water and 1 for everything else.

Since i don't live on lake michigan anymore i say.....drain the great lakes!

It's not the news that burnt my parents property, nor the separate fire that threatened my CA property recently. Nor did the news cause this to be the first year since 1977 we have not irrigated our pasture in CA due to no water. And why our 1 acre pond is half depleted where I'm now wondering if our bass will survive. Or why the always-reliable irrigation ditch water in NV is turning off next week.... first time in decades.

Naaahhh ... I just watch the news too much!

Did I mention the smoke filled skies for the last 2 months, with ash raining down on everything?

My Dozer started out as a NID dozer maintaining narrow right of ways.

No wonder the drillers are booked well into next year if your only source of water is no more.

Legislators have already enacted laws to limit the possibility of taking our water out of the great lakes.

The latest census showed that western states are growing faster than states that have abundant water. I guess they believe they can go where there is little water and steal it from us. The government will take care of them. Hey, they take my money and give it to people that won't work so I guess they may take our water and give it to people that move someplace where there is little water.

All we really have to do here in the water-rich states is fight back and stall everyone long enough until the quality of life in the desert goes to hell, and everyone leaves there anyway. It could mean quite a population boom here in the moist states (gross), but there's no law against wanting to move to another state.
