Someone once left an old 70s era trailer off the road at the intersection by our place. Sat there for several weeks until county hauled it. I sure hope they were able to find registered owner of that nightmare, but never heard of outcome.

they left plates on it, shouldnt have been too hard, but i doubt they even bothered looking.

Dang, vintage Holiday Rambler no less. Was top of the line in it's day.

If I ever found out just who one of the 'dumpers' was, I'd not say a word but come Christmas time, I'd gift wrap a nice box full of dog turds and sent it to them. The note inside would say... From your friends where you dumped your crap at.

Dumpsters and enclosure kept locked at all times but not always enough.

Worst was when cyclone gate latch and 6 yd dumpster Crowbar opened and totally filled with broken concrete.

Took most of the day to empty to haul to transfer station plus costs

Our city did an admirable thing.

They installed recycle bins (black=recycle) at all the mail stations supposedly to collect junk mail.
BUT
Some local 'pigs' too lazy to put out their own bins dump all their trash including food scraps.
Now those 'recycle bins' are only collected every 2 weeks and on a hot summer day the odors are unbearable should U open one.

We have a 3 bin system and collection cycles vary depending on usage and seasons.
Actually quite confusing.

Black bin-other household trash and non recyclable plastics
Brown- strictly for foods and composable material including grass and garden clippings.
Blue-is for paper, metals and certain recyclable plastics

I think plastics with all the codes is the most confusing.

Our township does an admirable thing. Every spring they put out a huge roll off and make it easy for residents to bring tires, appliances, TVs metal, etc. Pretty much everything is free to dispose of. Helps reduce roadside dumping.

Those would cost me $25 each at my transfer station to get rid of.

Once I found many bags of marinara (pot) trash by the road side, City collected that trash and found an invoice made out to a prominent citizen.
That should have had interesting results.

Dumping animals is the worst though.

Nope the worst is a bag full of dirty diapers 🤬 🤬 (n)(n)
That’s the second worst, but I agree that dumping animals is on top of the list.
Years ago I was on my way to a friend’s house and took a deserted gravel road short cut. It was this time of year or a bit earlier and colder than cold, when I saw something on the center of the road ahead. When I got there I discovered a tiny kitten, right where somebody must have opened their door and dropped it. I couldn’t keep it, my friends had 2 dogs so couldn’t keep it either; so I stopped by a farm, knocked on their door and after explaining the situation they agreed to take it. The animal hadn’t even been there long enough to get cold so the :censored: must have been right in front of me. In hindsight I probably could have caught them but I didn’t try. I would have no qualms about taking them out someplace where I work and leaving them to fend for themselves, without adequate clothing. I hunt, fish, raise my own livestock and have been known to trap; yet each animal is treated in the most humane way I possibly can. There’s no excuse for dumping an unwanted animal.

End of rant.
