Should I use conventional oil, or synthetic oil in my tractor.

Valvoline is good oil and those are two great reasons. I would always follow the recommendation of the manufacturer. And I am uncertain of the supply in the distance future for T6, I was fortunate to find the 3 gallons I have now for the next oil change. I will stay with synthetic also if I eventually have to change from T6.
I switched to Amsoil, it is easy to get, readily available.

I don’t like the word “ probably” for a lot of reasons. Standards are the goal posts for all oils to meet, at the very least. It’s how long they stay within those standards is what differentiates brands/types from each other… I find that Amsoil is a tough contender to the top spot.
Has same API ratings as Shell.

Has same API ratings as Shell.
Fleet Farm Specifications
  • High synthetic content
  • Superior lubrication of bearings and turbo charger setup
  • Improved fuel economy and extra soot handling and oxidation resistance
  • Meets latest CJ-4 requirements

Kinda vague on information. No CK specs. I didn’t see a data sheet available 😬

I run synthetic in everything I've owned for the last 10 years or so since the price became reasonable, and I'm very happy with it. Better gas mileage in my cars and trucks, and they're supposed to be better for wear. All my small engine stuff still runs like new for years with it. I'm running 15w-40 Super Tech dino in my tractor engine to break in after the rebuild because it's the cheapest diesel oil I could find and it exceeds the ratings the manufacturer calls for. Changed it once already after a couple heat cycles like I always do after a rebuild, and yes I always find some metal in the filters no matter how thoroughly I clean the block before assembly, which is exactly why I do this with cheap oil. Will probably change to synthetic at 30 hours or so and then change it yearly thereafter.

T6 is full synthetic. Valvoline also makes a full synthetic.

For me it's very simple. I use the oil grade recommended in my Owners Manual. I use Rotella T4 - 15W40.
