Kleptomania was the theory we later all agreed upon. The clothing appeared to be at least 10 to 5 years old, placing them at the time, around 1970-1975 or so, and the tags were from stores all over the Balimore City Maryland area. They were all women's apperal, and realitively light, and would have easily fit in a hand bag. There were no shoes, other handbags, hats or coats. This would also put them before most stores started tagging with electronic anti-theft radio devices.

In the 60s, maybe into the 70s our town had a dump, just a ravine off the side of an old road on the edge of town. To my knowledge, it was never cleaned up, just shut down and forgotten.

Think I have a friend. A young coyote comes around the house every morning. Checking on mice, chipmunks and anything I throw off the front porch. So far - a bone from the freezer and a couple apples. Going to see if I can get a box of rejected veggies/fruit from my friend at the local grocery store.

I have difficulties keeping cats - coyotes, owls, hawks - you know what I mean. Coyotes seem to be an acceptable substitute for cats. Sure have put a crimp on the chipmunk/mouse situation around here.

Our foxes do cleanup.
Our squirrel population went from almost pulling trees over during the fall. To lucky if we see one.
Still see mice here and there, but not many. And rabbits only one or two vs. the groups along the roadside.

The fox are back to screaming in the woods, which freaks out my dog (and us sometimes).
There are some kits in the woods by my driveway, see the mother all the time.

Once she followed the dog and I up the driveway, sitting down every time we stopped, then got up and sat down when we stopped again. seemed weird, but mom's will do things they normally would not do when the babies are young.

Here's the TBN thread and the photo I posted from 10 years go. It's an owl in my cedar tree in the back yard. That's no big deal but the initial discovery of it was from about two feet away and at eye level while I was straining to see what it was.

Four crows take the day shift. Things nothing so far will eat are bananas, pineapple, or strawberries.

I started getting crows on the deck eating cat food. I set a camera out, forgot to check it.

We use cat food from a can for possum and a Havahart live trap. I also sprinkle some dry dog food in the bottom of the trap so the possum will dig for them and spring the pan trigger. It works very well. I let them go five miles down the road where there is a protected stream area.

When we bought our 25 acre rental property, there was indeed a dump on it. Spent years getting rid of all the stuff, including huge amount of old metal roofing. Still finding stuff today. [emphasis added - DieselBound]

In a park I used to mountain bike in there were some features people added.
Some funny ones and some memorials.

Weirdest one was the memorial to children who had passed on.
About 20 dolls in seats set up like a classroom.
Was there for years until wiped out by flooding.

Sometimes the dolls would be changed out and a few added, so was active all those years.

This may not be creepy to some, but I hate needles. I pulled off the road and let my dog out while I was getting ready to go into the woods. I was getting gear out of the passenger side door when I looked down and saw the first one. I went around to the other side of the truck and found another. They must have pulled off the road to share their “thing” or whatever it is they do, and then tossed the needles out the window.
I know it happens in other places but we are just starting to see this up here.

Update on the magnet fishing catch glock 22
No serial #s at all, the cops said just keep it. They called it an 80% frame, and no barrel.

I took our grandsons magnet fishing near our home, we were on a bridge throwing in 2 magnets when my grandson pulled up a Glock 22 40 cal pistol!
It wasn't even rusted yet, it was missing the barrel but the rest was there. I let him keep it as a souvenir.
He also found a cartridge, a 7.62x 39 it was rusted up being steel case ammo.
That was a lucky find for him the first time out magnet fishing.

My first thought was: Aren't Glocks plastic? Then I thought about the barrel and you said it was removed. So, I guess the spring and maybe the magazine had enough metal to bring it out of the water with a magnet.

Our county sheriff has a website where you can check the police reports and arrests in your area. I suspect most places have that available now.

Drugs are about everywhere. Unless its something major, it wouldn't even make the local news, and you'd never hear about it.
