Mahindra 2615
Hi Everyone,

I have a mahindra 2615 that has no draft control installed. I rototilled my field last year and it was barely tilling 6" down. This year, my attachment does not even touch the ground. The lever operates well, 3PH goes up and down, but it doesn't go down enough. I know most tractor have a draft control that takes care of that but mine is not equipped with it. I played with the knowb under my seat, the one that controls the speed of the 3PH, but it doesn't seem to help. What I am missing, any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Thanks for that Bruce, it is helpful to have this manual and I didn't know it was the same as a club cadet.

Still need help[ with my issue if someone thinks of something...

I had a three point which wouldn't go down all the way. I found a stop clamp on the three point control. After I moved it to the end of travel I could move the three point lever further and the hitch complied by going down further.

Can you post a photo of your tractors rockshaft(3pt) control handle in the lowered position? I'm curious if your tractors 3pt linkage has a feedback rod similar to my Kubota

Here are some pictures of the rockshaft in lower position. There seems to be a feedback rod on one arm, I have never adjusted this rod before, curious to hear what your experience has been with this part.

Have you tried it with the PTO shaft disconnected or ensured your PTO shaft moves feely throughout it's full range of motion?

You're manual should tell you where that rod should be adjusted at, it could be related.

Thanks for your reply, all my stop clamps are locked on both extremities (see picture above) so it is not the issue.

If it were me, before messing with anything on the tractor, I'd take the attachment off the 3 pt and then see if the arms go down further with nothing attached. That would eliminate that at least. You would have to push down on the arms after the leer is in the lowered position.

Linkage in photo appears to be feedback rod. Is opposite end from nuts attached to something?

Second photo shows the end of the rod located on the right side. It seems to go through the hitch assembly, the second photo (with fingers) shows where it connects on the other side, left. Could be the hitch pistons. When I turn this rod clock wise the arm goes higher and when I turn counter clockwise, the arm goes lower. The problem is that when it goes lower, I can’t bring it back up. It’s a hack but it doesn’t seem to solve my issue. Hopefully the hydro pump isn’t shot.

Have you tried changing adjustment location of nuts on rod in photo? Hyd pump won't affect lowering of 3 pt hitch but adjustment of linkage can affect it.

yes, the first nut needs to be loosen and the back one is welded on the rod. Turn the rod clockwise and the 3PH goes higher when lever is pulled up but is limited on the downside. the opposite happens when rod is turn counter clockwise. see youtube video below for more info (not mine).
I am using this tek right now to till my field, I just have to use my wrench #12 every time time I need to raise/lower the 3PH. Thanks for that, at least it gets in the ground.

I don't understand why nut would be welded in place. Did you purchase this tractor new or pre-owned?

In the picture your top link is in the highest hole, try your lower holes for the top link.
Also check that your stabilizers are not too tight and causing binding.

I think position of center link in mounting hole will affect height of raising but won't have much affect on how low attached equipment will go.

No it won't affect the lift arms but the rear of the implement will go a lot lower

Utilizing my rototiller the location hole on tractor of centerlink attachment has little affect on how low tiller will lower or affect rear of tiller much. Yes centerlink tractor attaching hole will affect lift height of a rotary mower that extends behind tractor several feet BUT I doubt tractor centerlink lower attaching hole will allow 3 pt equipment to lower any significant amount.

I tired lowering the toplink to the lower hole and no effect on the rototiller. In my case, the radius of the rockshaft lift arms seems limited. I don't think it caused by any of the 3PH components, it seems to be internal. when I turn the feedback rod, it goes lower or higher, but the radius of the rockshaft arms stays the same.
