Kioti CK2610 vs Mahindra 1626 vs Kubota L2501

I’ve always thought the Mahindra seemed a bit cruder, but that’s just my opinion.
I think it depends on who made the model. My 1533 was made by Mitsubishi and I wouldn't call it crude. They have their "economy" line and the more "refined" line.

I also do not like the back and forth peddle actuator for the 1626 much preferring the side to side pedals.
Whereas I really like the "back and forth" pedal ;) I can stand in the operator station and look forward while still easing forward and back without moving my right foot much. Side by side requires picking your foot up and moving it and your leg is in a bad position to push the pedals if standing.

Another consideration no mentioned is PTO HP, it can limit the size of some rear implements like mowers.

That strikes me as absolutely ridiculous as well.
It's like "blackmail". "You're not gonna get your kid back until you give me a deposit".
Who on this green earth comes up with these business models???
The only reason I can think of is that they get a lot of tire kickers, and want to be sure he’s serious.
That’s sheer speculation though.
Do NOT buy a 3PT backhoe. The backhoe absolutely must mount to a special subframe rigidly attached to the tractor.
This is too true, and I’m not sure that anybody makes a 3pth unit anymore. Back when the rear housing was robust and iron, that wasn’t the case. Yet I have an older Woods 750 which was one of my most used implements, until I realized how much it flexed even from it’s own weight when going down the road. I won’t use it again until I either have a subframe or get my 8N running. I sure do miss it though.

All three models will work but there are subtle differences, and as others have stated loader capacity sometimes is over stated or at different points pivot pins vs bucket edge etc. Kubota tends to be conservative in loader capacity BTW.

SNIP

That's right. Loader capacity is advertising fluff, nothing more. If you want, we can get get deeper into the mechanics of why.

But there's an easier way - when comparing 3 similar size tractors just take the lowest of the three loader specs and assume that is what they all are. That way will be close enough. Usually within the tolerance range.

You are correct, and the OP admits in his first post he is cross shopping and is having a hard time discerning the different choices each brand provides, then seems focused more on capacity than real use cases. Then regarding future use, the new homestead, running water lines, feeding hay, dirt work, etc. is standard stuff, but no defined "near term need or buying signs" like I must have this by x to accomplish y,

So as a dealer, if I hear a large range of general use cases, and an unknown buying timeframe or budget, I tend to agree they are justified to label this as "tire kicking" - they may buy in 2 months or 2 years.

It does seem the OP has an idea of needs but needs more knowledge on what to ask the dealer for as each model has different features and benefits. The only way you get that knowledge is by reading here, and on line, then shopping, test driving each model once.

I went and looked at the Mahindra 1626 with over the weekend, they had a nice showroom, let me operate the tractor. The price was roughly $3500 cheaper than the ck2610 or the l2501. I liked it, so I bought it along with a 5Ft rotary cutter, a 5ft box blade, and a 3pt quick hitch. They can get me a backhoe in roughly 3 weeks.

I have one question you all might be able to help me with; the PTO is slightly different than I'm used to. On my smaller tractor it was just a switch to turn it on/off; this one has a clutch.

The way I understood the explanation is this:

push clutch in, then select pto (mid/rear) with lever, then release clutch. I'm assuming this should be down at lower RPM, and the clutch should be slipped a little to prevent a violent engagement?

Congratulations on your new tractor. You are correct about the clutch use. It’s especially nice when using implements such as a rotary mower, chipper or even a tiller which takes some power to get started; you can ease the clutch out, just as you do when starting on a hill with manual transmission.

Congratulations Ecreps on your new tractor - you got it well equipped too! Your profile doesn't list a state/province, but that would be helpful for recommendations, like a canopy for those hot days, or rain/snow - helps keep you drier - you can add later on too.

Then if not the 50 hour first service included, get the filters/oil to change it (and get to know your tractor better! too).

Are they delivering everything when the BH comes in three weeks, or separately? If separately, then they will need to get the tractor back to connect the BH - make sure you get a good tutorial on the BH R&R process - and if you have a concrete floor for storage, get a few cheap dollies at HF or HD and some 2x4 and build a BH dolly for R&R will make it much easier.

Carl, I am in NW Ohio, so today it is 100 degrees, and in 6 months it will be 20 and snowy, but this was already pushing my budget; so no Cab.

They are delivering it all once the backhoe comes in and is hooked up. I plan to make a Dolly for the BH out of 1x1 Steel tube I have laying around, and a set of "Shelves" for the 3 PT Attachments.

Thank you everyone for the advice, I will throw up some pictures once it is delivered.
