@metalheart when using the app to scan for obstructions, you need to slowly rotate the phone 360 in the horizontal plane. If you don't get 100%, look at the image and then try to move the camera to point toward any dots left on your screen, typically above or below your pan.

Once you get SL up and running for about a day the Visibility part of the app will give you a rotating 3-D view showing any obstructions in red. I’d recommend that if a temporary install is possible.

I’ve had StarLink for 4 months now. Very pleased. I called Windstream yesterday to cancel the all-in $105/month decent 12 Mbps DSL service. Windstream customer retention lady offered me a year at $55 including fees/taxes a month to stay with them. Pizzed me off. I‘ve run into this cr@p before with insurance carriers, SirusXM, and others. A way to save some $$$ if you want to play their game.

I had a XM account, wife had a Sirius account. After the companies merged, the accounts where combined in 2013.
We just make one payment now.

We have 3 vehicles used regularly and two retail stores where the local radio stations aren't suitable for customers. Ch. 17 The Bridge is what I use for stores, easy listening rock.

Yeah, I have to go thru that BS every year with my wife's car. If it were up to me I'd just cancel it and be done but I'd never hear the end of it if I did.
How'd you get it down to $6? Cheapest they'd go with me was $8.99.

I kept a subscription for my main daily driver, plus a subscription on a "boom box" so I have music anywhere-- even with no wifi in a forest.

For everything else, I just stream it using my phone.
