That would be used on the 3 pt both front and back, not the loader. Although, maybe the one you saw was someone that adapted it to the loader? That could be a possibility too.Not sure how we got off on this tangent but... any of you guys ever see or use the European quick hitch which is triangular in basic shape? It is like 2 pieces of C-channel on the implement (like a triangle with the bottom piece missing) and a full 3 sided triangle on the FEL that is centered on the loader. The Triangle is male and the implement socket is female. Roughly 2' on each edge as I recall. I saw them in Austria in 2000 and was amazed how simple and easy they hook up. Self centering. Once you raise the FEL triangle vertically into the twin C-channel socket on the implement all you do is put in a pin (or 2?) and you are hooked up.
What is the name for that system? Is it still in use? Any in the USA ?
It's called A frame quick hitch. That quick hitch is used more on specific countries. It depends on the implement manufacturer to build the implements with this type of hitch in mind, which not all do.
On the loader, we just use the Euro quick attach. Simply and easy to use. Stronger, yet lighter. Most will actually auto latch once the attachment sits in. A lot safer than the SSQA, I mean, even if you forget to lock the attachment, you will still have an hard time to make it pop out of the quick hitch. On the SSQA, the attachment will pop out if you look at it the wrong way.
