My snow weapon this year is one of my renters with his Dodge Power Wagon and his Boss plow. IOW, the blower and my plow stay in the barn.

I'm doing my winter transition. Pull the loader and install the frame mounting point, lifting arm and the hydraulic lines to the tractor.

Did an oil change and the fuel filters.

I like them myself, they ride nicely on my little plow route and seem to be better in the snow and do just fine around the property with the "gravely" soils we have. This and much better wear life.... yeah, I'd get them again. Now if you've got soil's that tend to fill the tires (clay), stick with the ags.

MK Martin Meteor Rear Pull Earned its keep today with 12" of heavy wet snow. It worked flawlessly.

I've run the inverted Farm King blower twice so far. The first time was about 7" of heavy wet snow and the second was about 6" of nice cold snow. The blower worked great until I hit something and blew a shear bolt. After digging the packed wet snow out of the blower fan I found the culprit. One of the rippers from an old box blade that I hauled back to my shop to cut up. That ripper is made of 3/4" thick steel and is about 3" wide by about 16" long. It was jammed in there pretty good and I thought there was going to be some major damage. I was amazed to discover there was no visible damage to the blower and no weird vibration after getting it running again. I was impressed with how well the blower held up. Got lucky this time.

I'm in the shop converting my bolt on plow wings to hinge mounts so I don't have to remove and reinstall them every time I want to angle plow the lower part of the driveway. I also made a wing for one side of the snowblower, to try and prevent snow from spilling out the side, especially in heavy stuff that pushes out and clumps up. So far I had one run with a temporary setup and it worked very well. Once I'm done I will post some pics.

Tested out the WIFO Inverted today It Wings the snow and drove it through a couple feet on the unplowed loop drive way 3 storms worth and did not get stuck or have to pre plane with the bucket

Still have to bucket the berm at the road
